They have a scale at school, but it weighs heavy, so I don't want to discourage myself. I know I'm doing good, but.....Maybe I'll pick up knitting.

I accidentally bought some work pants over the summer that were FAR TOO TIGHT!!! I thought they were my size, but I could barely button those things. I had to keep it because it was on clearance. When I packed up for school, I didn't realize I accidentally brought those pants! Oh no! However, they FIT! I didn't even…

I've only lost about 12 pounds so far. However, I have lost 6 inches around my waist and about an inch off my hips. It's amazing how that works.

First if you think about it all the time, you focus on food, and then you will get hungry. Just a fact. Try slowly working your way down. Like the next two days only go over 400. Then 300, and so on. Keep busy. If you must eat something, pick something healthy, low in fat, and full of water suck as fruit and veggies. Are…

I drink about 1-2 gallons of water a day. Depends on how I feel. I don't have a scale because I am in college so I eat food from there. What I do is take less and count it as more. So If I take a cup of soup, I count it as 1 3/4 to 2 cups of soup. Weighing is impossible because I don't have my own money or space to buy…

muscle fatigue. Which is a good thing.

This is so inspiring!

Sad thing is, there is no such thing as spot reduction. Your body will lose how it wants to. First on, first off, So if it's been there awhile, it's going to take a push. Don't get discouraged. It will come!

First of all welcome and congratulations on your big day. Though it's really ambitious, it it not necessarily possible. Fast weight loss is 10 pounds a month (and this can be extreme). Most of the initial weight will be water weight. Also, the scale is just a number. For weeks, my numbers would not go down, but my inches…

i used to have the same problem. It was usually cravings. I would ask myself if I would really need it. Then I'd wait 30 min and/or workout. If I still wanted it that badly, I would have a little. Not crazy. Just enough to keep myself from breaking down in tears in a corner somewhere. I LOVE mac and cheese. So I bought the…

I weigh myself every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I used to have a problem with wanting to weigh myself everyday and often, so I cut back.

Thanks for all the replies!

It's like that. I can easily modify and change positions. I have 3 areas in my shoulder that makes it pop out of place. Free weights also make it easier if I have an emergency and I need to drop the weight on a dime.

I have a swimming injury. I have 3 areas in my shoulder that makes it unstable so it pops out of place quite frequently. I can do free weights because its easier for me to drop it on a dime if I feel it come out of socket. I am getting surgery next summer, I need it now , but I am unable due to some financial and scholarly…

Let me rephrase: My diet looks good. Lean meats, proteins, low carb and sugar. I never usually eat more than 1500 calories (because I'm not hungry) and I don't usually eat back my workout calories. I started off with light weights 10-12 pounds and I could feel that my muscles were working and responding, I am now at 20-25…

My question was am I still working towards my goal or if I'm wasting my time. Any ideas or different techniques I can try?
-
Ok. Let's be honest. I love food. And I know if I diet all the time, I am more likely to stop losing weight and starve. So every 3-4 weeks I would have a cheat day or meals over a few days. Nothing crazy. If I want fried chicken I will have it, but just not in access where I'm craving all the time. I then rapid weight loss…

How fast do you normally run. I know I like to listen to music the pace I'm at. Helps me keep a pace and keeps my spirits up.

I would say you are highly active based on the time spent and how many days. It also depends on your intensity. If you are barely breaking a sweat, put moderate. Otherwise I would say you are highly. I wouldn't say rigorous because it's not daily intense work such as bodybuilding or being a roofer or something.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you! It's nice to hear that I am not the only one this has happened to. I see my body is responding and the scale is not, but it is changing. I will try to keep my head high.

I did workout about 2 hours before I weighed in. It is the same scale because I am back at home. I didn't weigh myself at the gym because of the differences. It could be water retention. I do drink 5-6 pounds of water a day also. It's just difficult to see the measurements go down, but the weight not. I lost over 4.5…
