Flumi, that is great about the doctor! Does anyone else have this problem? I ate a sandwich last night and correctly predicted that my weight would be way up this morning. Bloated, and I suppose, carrying fluid. Maybe just carbs or maybe gluten intolerance. Either way it will pass but obviously bread is not really the…

My daughter fasted today and commented that she thinks it must get easier to fast after a few times. I would agree with that. You realise that it isn't that big a deal, you won't suffer and your body seems to get used to less food.

Mine is pretty much the same always. I find it easy to stick with something simple. I don't have a sweet tooth and I also like low carb. Protein is the key for me. Lunch is an orange, 1 hardboiled egg and 5 cherry tomatoes. 158 calories Dinner is steamed fish (Birds Eye with a sauce) and steamed vegetables with 1 tsp of…

way! Should have been weigh!

What a great supportive group this is! I am pleased that today, I way the same as yesterday as often I weigh less after the fast day and then up a bit the next day. Normal I know, and also why it is best not to weigh daily but that's one bit of self discipline I don't care about! I'm thinking this might be my body finally…

Just want to see if my ticker shows up.

Wow, what a post to wake up to! Bees and snakes! I live in Australia so 87 snakes would most likely be of the deadly kind. Unimaginable! There is something cool about bees though, and we need more bees, just not in the chimney! My bugbear at the moment is storms, so much damage. Anyway, the good news is that it is my…

Hi Courtney. I too only need to lose maybe 10 kilos all up and have already lost somewhere between 3 and 4 in about 2 months or less. On fast days, like you, find it helpful to have an exact count ready to microwave, so I use the Birds Eye steamed fish packets and also do the same with a pack of steamed vegetables. There…

Foam roller, Go you! I hope to emulate you. So far between 3 and 4 kilos lost in a couple of months. I am happy.

Just finished my fast day. 449 calories. Roll on tomorrow. I always do the 16 hour thing and don't find it difficult because i am not hungry at breakfast time. It is once I start eating that I get hungry and this afternoon I had a snack of a tbs of cottage cheese which helped get me through until dinner. It helps that I…

Calahonda, I have only been at this for about 6 weeks but have lost 3 kilos. I have a wine every night except fast days, and occasionally 2. I guess I would lose faster if I cut back but I enjoy it and it seems to be fine. I don't count calories on my non fast days, I just eat what I want which generally speaking is fairly…

Cindy, Monday and Thursday works for me. I need the 2 days in between so I don't resent it. I must say it has only been a month but I can see me sticking with this forever as a lifestyle. I would like to know what other people have lost over what period of time? I guess you do what works for you. I don't like eating…

Hi all. I am finding this easier as each week goes by. It has been about 4 weeks and I have lost a couple of kilos I am pretty sure all up ,despite some fluctuations. I actually seem to only manage about 350 - 450 calories often on fast days. I have found that if I don't think about what to eat but just eat my standard…

Thanks for the replies. I am going to enjoy being in this group. If anybody wants to friend me, feel free. It would be good to see what others are eating. Cheers.

Whoops! Just finished my second day of fasting in my first week. I don't think it will be too hard if I am organised. I am not ever hungry until 11 am anyway. Am excited about the possibilities and so many great results for others. My fast days are Monday and Thursday but today I have come in at 328 calories. Is this a…

Hi, I'm just starting and did my first fast today. It wasn't so hard. Just joined this group and love to see all the positive posts. Also have linked to my fitbit flex. i've got all the gadgets, let's see if I have the discipline!

I'm with you! I have no trouble eating healthily and below my kilojoule count but I really want to be able to drink more. I miss my nightly large wine and am settling for social occasions only although I drink what I want then. I'm sure it is slowing things down though.

Yes, thanks. I don't fret about it but I am trying to keep an eye on how I am going and have found logging my food quite useful. I am not worried about eating out as such and still enjoy myself etc but find it frustrating not having a clue about what I really ate. For instance, on Saturday night I was at a catered party…

Thanks! I had one and went over my joules, a miscalculation! But I used to breed labs and looks like you are a fan too, so I will listen to you!

Thanks, Jester. My replies don't seem to be going where I thought they would which was under each person so hopefully people will read this!

Thanks, Tex!

This is what I like to think and that the bottom line is total energy in. Metabolising it does seem to be different for some things and some people on here have explained it well. Thanks.

Thanks!

Hi, thanks to all! I generally try to keep alcohol to social occasions because I try and eat fairly clean and healthily. It is Friday night here in Australia and I'm not going out but it is the end of the week and I just feel like a glass of red while cooking dinner! (Salmon and salad). I don't have a problem with alcohol…

There must be more clean eaters out there!

Thanks for the replies! I am OK for ideas thanks,Traceleann at the moment but good to know you are out there. I can't see your food diary though even though we are now friends. AJ_G - It's a start! ;-)

That is brilliant!
