  • Good Job!!! :)
  • For me it had to be a lifestyle change. I honestly sat down and said to myself, "What kind of eating habits will make me healthy that I can stick with FOREVER?". I still eat the things I really love...on occasion. But I realized something I never would've thought about myself. Once I got really into my lifestyle change, (I…
  • I lost two pounds! :) Made some good choices and splurged at the right times. I never felt left out..and kept on exercising. It was a Very Merry Christmas to me!
  • I completely get it...and suffer with you. I think I'm working on it, but then I'll revert back to that old way of thinking. Maybe therapy is the answer? I don't know. I wish I could offer you some more advice. If nothing else I hope it helps to know you're not alone.
  • Keep watching yourself...I have a feeling you'll see things changing. Keep at it and you'll see yourself getting better, kicking higher, etc. It also will give you the motivation to push just a little more each time. I thought the same thing, too, when I first started going to these classes with mirrors, "everyone else is…
  • I get it. I've lost almost 60 pounds but I still see "fat me" when I look in the mirror. I've been struggling with this, too. Because it's such a slow process, it's hard to see the big difference. Maybe look at some old pictures of yourself. I looked at my driver's license yesterday and was mortified! I can't believe that…
  • Love this! :) I think cheating is what is defined between the two people in a relationship. In my eyes, if I feel wrong about it or that I couldn't share it with my significant other then it's cheating. If you feel like you've been wronged then it's worth talking about. If you feel like you are in the wrong, then it's…
  • Bump. Sounds yummy! I love this kind of cuisine, but have always been afraid and unsure to try it. I think I will start here! Thanks! :)
  • Lose the weight for yourself. Start eating healthy and working out and you'll be amazed at how good you'll feel about yourself and just in general. When you feel good about yourself you'll be more confident in asking someone out. Another girl will come along...maybe even a better girl...and you'll never even second guess…
  • I started at 1200 and lost quite a bit of weight until I hit a plateau (at about a month and a half in). I've had to increase my calories steadily (by about 100 at a time) as I've lost weight. I'm up to between 1500-1700 a day at this point (after dropping 52 pounds). I think everyone is different, just letting you know…
  • Ditto to the above comments. A diet is just that...a diet...they're all scams and the weight comes back when the diet is done. Change your way of life with healthy food choices, portion control, and exercise and you'll be amazed at how much weight you can lose.
  • I would make your favorite healthy dish that you enjoy. It might surprise people how great healthy food can be!
  • I thought I was the only one who is completely in love with my collar bones...I can't pass a mirror without taking a peek! Congrats! :)
  • Are there steps anywhere around? Just start walking up and down, walking outside, running...try to go up and down steep hills forward and backward, pushups, crunches, etc. If you have On Demand there are a lot of free workout videos on there. It's amazing what you can do for free!
  • That's normal. I weight myself twice a day, once in the morning, naked and after using the bathroom, and once a night before bed. I've always done this, just because it intrigues me how much weight fluctuates. I had to learn, however, that the weight will fluctuate and I can't get bent out of shape when it does. The weight…
  • I don't know how many calories you're eating per day, but I've learned that every time I hit a big long plateau like this I've increased my calories. (Scary, I know!) But every time I do it the pounds start dropping off again. I'd say try that for a few days and see how it works out for you, if it doesn't you could always…
  • Congrats! I started at the same time and I'm at a 49 lb weight loss today...just waiting for that last pound to drop! Sounds like we're on similar journeys. :)
  • Me too. But I gotta say, I've been on here for over 160 days and this is the first real big binge day...so I'm going to go to bed, wake up tomorrow, start a new day, and put it all behind me. Sound like a plan?
  • I LOVE it when a guy stares and breathes heavily. ;)
  • Find a sweet treat that isn't too bad and allow yourself to have it -- in moderation. I love Nutty bars and found them in a 100 calorie bar...so I can have one once or twice a week when it fits in my daily calories. Cocoa covered almonds are also good. And when a coworker makes a to-die-for treat...I allow myself one…
  • I mix a tablespoon of Nutella with a tablespoon of Natural Peanut Butter and microwave for 10 seconds, then dip my banana in it. Yum!!
  • I agree, 200 calories is no big deal as long as you don't do it every day. Most times when I splurge a little one day I end up breaking a cycle and losing weight again. You probably will be surprised!
  • Right up there above your post...click on 'signature'. You can put anything you want there and save it, then it appears on your post every time.
  • Sounds like maybe you need to have a little conversation with your coworker about HER eating disorder. Eating disorders don't always mean anorexia/bulimia...there are many different kinds of eating disorders...including those which cause morbid obesity.
  • Several things...I, too, was at my highest weight for the SECOND time in my life...I feel you on that one! My father was diagnosed with diabetes, mother with high blood pressure, and a whole family history of heart disease. Pictures always make it more realistic! I always thought I just didn't photograph well...not…
  • Maybe I'm not being clear; I'm NOT endorsing surgery right away. My point is don't rely on a bunch of strangers on a fitness website that say, "Use ice and take advil and the pain will go away", because it may not...and then you have a more serious injury which WOULD require surgery. See a Dr and let them diagnose the…
  • Go see a Dr!!!!! I'm a recovery room nurse and see post op back surgeries all the time, young and old. Back injuries are nothing to take lightly and surely not something you should be diagnosing yourself! It could be something simple, or really involved, but there's only one way to find out. Even going to a chiropractor…
