I get cranky on 1200 cals a day....I think my husband would divorce me on 500 cals a day....hhah!

I too agree with seeking your doctors/dietician advice. The workouts you listed, I didn't start with at 244. I started on a elliptical machine, swimming, then went to walking outside, and a treadmill. Swimming is a great way to start! The most important thing is that you started! Keep it up :)

Welcome! I was on WW before they changed everything. I really like MFP a LOT more, and I lost a lot more weight on MFP. (i reset my ticker, but last year I lost 96 pounds). And MFP is FREE! :)

Once my husband and I reach that part of life, I'd like some ideas too....Right now, our kids (5,3,2) have more of a social life than we do.

I track all fruits and MOST veggies....Fruit, while good for you, can pack calories too....

Yup....Its what helped me lose 96 pounds last year.....then I went to the other extreme...and got lazy, stopped exercing, and counting calories........shocker..I gained some weight back! .............

Can't see your diary, but more fiber and protein, less carbs is usually helpful to me!

My boys are 5,3,2..I lost EVERYTHING PLUS a lot more last year (total of 96 pounds), but got extrememly lazy and life got in the way, so i gained back 15...and now im back on track! :) Gonna get back to my goal weight!!! It can be done...and my kids were 1,2,4 then! :)

To each their own, As long as they aren't soaking up the welfare system, have at it. I am sure one husband is PLENTY for me. I am also sure, I wouldn't want to share him with any other woman.

I've always kept my level at sedentary, although I chase 3 litlte kids around all day/night. I only log my true exercise, so far its worked just fine.

I usually eat carrots, cucumbers, and celery as my last snack before bed around 9 or so....I haven't had any problems loosing. My husband works 3rd shift at a sedentary job and his "dinner' is about 2am...he lost 50 pounds......I really don't think the time matters, it whats your eating that matters...

I stay home with 3 boys...ages 2,3,5....This is our typical day (in the fall it will change when my 5 yr old goes to kindergarten) 6:00 everyone wakes up..(yes, I have none who like to sleep in yet) 7:00 breakfast and throw in a load of laundry 8:00 playroom for the kids, I clean up breakfast, and prob run the dishwasher…

I didn't read all the responses, but MFP really over estimated my burned calories..I bought a Polar FT4 from amazon (it came with a chest strap) and I go by that!!

Im a mom of 3 ages 5,3,2. Last year I lost 96 pounds but slipped a disc in my back, got lazy and gained back 15 pounds...so now Im back to MFP and I have 12 pounds to go back to my goal again. I walk with the kids in the am before if gets to hot, we walk about 4 miles a day 5-6 days a week.

I have my 3 sons wear a rash guard when in the pool, b/c they are so light skinned. I'e seen older men wear shirts, but never really thought much about it. As long as they are comfortable with what their wearing, and not letting stuff hang out, then Im cool with it.

It took me almost 30 pounds for anyone outside of my husband to see i was losing weight. I was shocked how I stuffed all that extra into the same pants! HA...

The only real difference is I wear more "form fitting" clothes. I stay home with my kids, so really no need to get "dressed up"...jeans, yoga pants, and t shirts are just my style!
