I've lost about 35 pounds with weight watchers, and unfortunately put 10 back on during vacation. I feel like I need a change from the monotony of counting points, and granted, counting calories is not too different, it's something NEW!@$#
And all the RESULTS are so inspiring!

Welcome! I was on WW before they changed everything. I really like MFP a LOT more, and I lost a lot more weight on MFP. (i reset my ticker, but last year I lost 96 pounds). And MFP is FREE!0

I just couldn't do a point system. It worked for my mother in law, but every time I tried I just shook my head and walked away.0

I did it for awhile too. lost 50 pounds and gained back 30.
I decided I didn't want to spent 40$ a month anymore and came to track my calories here.
Plus there are a LOT more foods in MFP's database than in WW. I got annoyed constantly having to look up my calories on the net because WW didn't have them listed.0 -
Thanks for all the great responses! I'm excited to start my journey here. So how have you all been successful? Any tips or tricks for me?0

The only one that I can make is that you have to make little changes over time. I dropped sugary sodas, and the weight started dropping off. Then I limited red meat, and it came off even faster. I bought sandwich and bagel thins, and even more came off. Each change resulted in weight loss, and each weight loss encouraged more changes.0
