Hang in there! I do feel the same way a lot of days. I am able to concentrate on other things which takes my mind off food. An example is: I began using the conmari method to organize my house, it keeps my mind and hands busy with something other than food and makes me happy when I see my progress. Another thing I do is…

Hey lady, I am 11 to 7. I count the calories for the day I am on. When I go to sleep, I make sure I have enough left for breakfast before my shift starts. I have tried it many ways though, and this is less confusing for me. Hope this helps! Good luck

You may add me! Happy dieting, this site is awesome. Be sure to use all the tools. I love the recipe part, it is amazing how fast the calories add up and you find ways to adapt those recipes to make them healthier.

Even if there are a lot of functions you should not only try to stay within your calorie goal but with healthy foods. If it is a function where you bring something, volunteer to bring a desert if you are craving sweets. Look up some diabetic recipes they are usually built around nutrition. Good Luck

A large container of yogurt is only a couple of bucks and can be portioned. Mix it with sugar free jello to change the flavor for variety.

You can do this, but you have to do it for you. Just let your actions be your words and when you need to use words LOG ON! You got a lot of good advice from the MFP family, request lots of friends for the support you need. Maybe you can request friends close to where you live and make exercise dates at parks or school…

Maybe you should see an actual nutritionist. I personally use the mayo clinic exchange diet and it is working well for me at 1200 calories per day which is what my doctor suggested also.

You look great and WOW look at that smile. I can't wait to get there!

Experiment with your diet and exercise! I had to change up the exercise after a couple of weeks as my body got used to what I was doing. Also don't forget to eat your exercise calories, you won't lose healthy weight if you are not eating enough. When it doesn't seem like it's working, change something, do a different…

Take a long weekend and go cold turkey, plan to lay around and do nothing but nap from time to time. Be careful with the pills to help in the weening process, they affected my liver.

I also am going through menopause. I had given up too, then I got really determined, went to the dr. to be sure all was well and it is. I have no excuses! I started using the mayo clinic diet and using nearly all the tools MFP has to offer and am down 10 pounds. I also began to exercise, walking 30 minutes per day, and…
