  • Hey there gal, congrats on your start at university. Concentrate on your studies and your health and let the other worry about themselves. This is all about you. set your self some healthy eating habits and an exercise program, which may be only walking to classes the long way instead of taking shortcuts, every step…
  • I just read about this on the website, sounds amazing for sure, do stores carry it or is it just on line?
  • You could perhaps in your next encounter with her casually ask her if she has reached her goal with the weight she has lost? Get a conversation going about the challenges of maintaining that you may be struggling with and then listen closely to the response, she may need an ear to listen to her as others may have shut her…
  • Hey there, only you can make the change, having the support is wonderful if you use it to the fullest. Don't look ahead just deal with the now. Right now I want another cookie, but I am going to go walk the dog instead and that thought will pass. Act right away to move away from what you know will make you feel bad in the…
  • Wow, nice job, your face looks so different.....beautiful
  • You are not alone, I have been going through an eating binge, mainly because my home life it out of balance right now with work, house for sale and husband with poor health, I have been letting that all get to me instead of watching my health with when it come all down to it is the most important thing to zero in on…

  • Hi Jocey, 59 year old grand mother here and I have reached my goal but when I get down about not having my grandaughter and family near me I start to eat. Look forward to watching your journey. One thing I learned over this past year was that you are never too old. My inspiration was my grandaugter, I wanted to be able to…
  • I would imagine being isolated on a rig and food that is prepared for you the temptation to eat when you are not busy is a challenge?? If that is what happens try cutting down your portion sizes a little at at time and if you can eat healthy snacks. Most likely you know all that and that you are the one that has to decide…

  • I have a friend who did the lap band and another that did the gastric surgery. They both lost a lot of weight and they both had struggles. When it come right down to it, if you are not truly motivated to change your lifestyle and your eating habits you will continue to lose and gain. Change what is bothering you in your…
  • Are you loosing inches? Sounds like you are building up more muscle right now. Measure yourself and see if those inches are going away.
  • Welcome to MFP, we all go through the plateau. So you need to shake up your routine. If you are walking on the treadmill for excise start putting a little more incline on it and do 5 minutes of fast and then 5 of slow and repeat throughout your walk. Make sure you eat a good breakfast and your larger meal at noon then…
  • I weigh in first thing in the morning after my first walk of the day and then before bed. I record both and it gives me a good sense of how it fluctuates with what I ate during the day. I find if I don't weigh in like that then I slip up really fast on overeating.
  • I am comfort eating right now as I go through a worry over my precious companion dog who may not recover from a sickness. Comfort eating helps take my mind off the moment.
  • New Brunswick, Canada on the beautiful Bay of Fundy, highest tides in the world.

  • I knew a franchisee who owns a Candy Bouquet in Dubai. Often wonder how chocolate survives in the heat over there. Anyway a little off track. That food table sounds delightful. Enjoy the food but do it on a smaller scale. Small plate and be selective about what you go for. You still need those treats. My problem this month…
  • Been there with the wrong side of 40/50 plus and the frumpy look, wearing a size 14 now and down 33/35 pounds depending on the week :). Not great at motivating myself, but had a friend trying to lose 200 pound and she is amazing at motivation so strapped myself onto her challenges and succeeded. Getting into a habit takes…
  • I had two children and with both of mine the tired feeling was with me for a good year, and I really thought I would never get ME back. Your body changes when you have a baby and if you are breast feeding the baby is taking a lot from you. Then add in early mornings, lots of extra work and the house plus husband to look…
  • Welcome you have made a great first step. Just remember how long it took you to put the pounds on that they don't come off that fast and shouldn't. Steady small goals. Start with a pound a week and small exercises. I did only 10 minutes a day the first week and then increased it to 15 and so on. It take about 21 days to…
  • I stopped logging in for a few weeks. I lost my focus and started eating all the wrong things again. I couldn't figure out why I felt like a slug and was tired all the time falling to sleep watching tv. Well the answer is I stopped walking started old habits and back I went into unhealthy me. I think I am back at least I…
  • The tags no longer mean anything off the shelf. Whoever designs these garments have Twiggy in mind with fat on her bones so you know how large those would be. I think they should make clothing for body shapes ( big *kitten*/ tiny waist ; flabby waist/tight *kitten*; big boobs/no waist; giraffe legs/small waist/regular…
  • I just went through a two week period of old habits and bad eating. Gaiined three pounds and felt realy tired and sluggish. I got motivated again this week by walking a friends dog every morning and could feel the health returning. So hopefully this is a start. You can do it...find that motivations to move forward and nor…
  • Personally, I wouldn't tell them anything because they just might point out some of my annoying habits, which I don't think I have but others do....none of us are that perfect we can point fingers .... just a thought.
  • Canadian here.....but I have three Australian Shepherds does that count :) and they help me stay active.
  • I am discovering that if I eat too little I don't lose.. had a large bbq steak dinner the other evening with veggies and pudding thought uh oh I will be up in the morning but I remained the same so the extra protein must have been needed because I have now lost 2 more pounds.
