The only thing keeping me going it my countdown to Honeymoon! 34 days!!!!!!!!
-
Its going ok, I found yesterday (first day after my first fast) I wasnt that hungry and didnt eat my daily allowance. I also felt more tired when running but I am putting that down to a lack of fuel but I hope each fast day I will feel an improvement!
-
Well I made it through the first fast! *yay* If anyone is interested I am blogging about it here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/daisykitten

Personally I find that if what I am eating doesnt make me happy then there is no point. Yes we should be eating everything that is 100% nutritionally balances but if it looks like a brick then I'd rather not bother at all.
-
oooh fab thanks for the heads up!

Thyroid or anaemia would be my guess but only a blood test will tell. I was suffering with coldness and my outcome was I am B12 deficient since taking supplements I haven't had any further problems.
-
I agree with the others it's something that comes with time and practice - but DONT GIVE UP!!!! You'll get there :)
-
Well done you DO look amazing and your husband is totally right (and as a newly married lady I dont say that lightly! ;o) )
-
Hi Welcome back, I am 34.... I might be over your age limit! I am in the NW but I am actually from London, I am also a runner and now a Zumba fanatic too! My downfalls are wine and crisps also (so I am glad to see I am not the only one!)
-
Well its 11.20 and I am keeping myself busy until lunchtime! Have been feeling a bit peckish but nothing major

Definitely go to your GP though there are private companies that will do it thought I am not sure how reliable they are. I will warn you though, I had to fight to see an allergist last year, and they only referred me because I refuse to move from the GP's office until they did, I had tried everything else and it was my…

Once a week, at the same time - Wednesday morning when I get out of bed.

I'll be honest this is a quick fix for me to lose a few extra lbs before I go on honeymoon, I dont think I will be able to keep it up as a way of life, I realise however that once I start eating "normally" again I'll expect to see a gain so I am not thinking this is a long term fix but definitely worth it if I look good in…

I think thats something different? But I'll take a look. Thanks

Cheers :) I got married 7 months ago so the weight has slowly crept on in such a small amount of time! But I really want to aim to get to my wedding weight and stick there at least until we have a baby!
-
I think this is the most likely answer. Just for the record, I am not overweight and my BF% is normal.
-
Thanks - this is the big push for my honeymoon in 37 days! I shouldn't need too much motivating (because the bikini should be doing that!) but I might feel weak and need a kick up the bum!
-
I say keep at it, it might just be a plateau and things might start moving again, personally I am not 100% unhappy with how I am at the moment I would just like to be more toned - so maybe thats the way to go? Chuck out the scales and bring in the measuring tape :)
-
Do you mind me asking how old you are? I am nearly mid 30's and I find it really hard to get past the weight I am now compared to 5-6 years ago when I was at my lightest (UK 8 or US 4) - since my wedding just over 7 months ago I have put on nearly 14lbs and I am finding it really hard to lose, yet maintaining this weight…

Thank you! Why isnt this a sticky thread at the top of the page?! I have been lost in acronyms!

Dont bother it doesnt work and DID have a nasty side effect from it..... running to the toilet when I am at work and spending most of the afternoon there wasnt my idea of fun. Avoid. There are no magic pills.
-
Don't do it, they don't work. All that will happen is you'll end up with some pretty horrid side effects and less money in your pocket. If there was a miracle pill we'd all take it instead of putting the hard work in to diet and exercise.
-
I am starting the 5:2 this week and would love some MFP pals who are also doing this diet! I need some food recommendations for the fast days!
-
Wow you look fantastic!

All wedding dress designers will have different measurements - your best bet is to find a dress you like and have it fitted to you and not worry about the label. My dress was bespoke so I cant tell you what the actual size was but I tried the 12 on in the shop which was too big and I am a size 10-12 in high street shops.

Fasting with a hangover would never happen! But thanks for the tip! :)

I am planning to start this diet this week, I have worked out my first week, so regular days I will continue with my MFP recommended allowance, on fast days I plan to have a decent breakfast (porridge) a light lunch of just fruit or a yoghurt and then a half decent dinner in the evening. The day before my fast days (so for…

Strong builders tea. No sugar and minimal milk - tea strong enough you can stand a spoon in it. I.E English Breakfast that has been brewed to death.
