  • Enriched is in almost every grained mainstream product like breads, pasta etc...they basically strip out the natural ingredients and add it back plus some. Which I always thought was weird. Here's an article about how carbs aren't bad, and how to spot a good grain!…
  • Dang, misspelled Recipies http://www.easyfishrecipes.info/Recipes/Grilled-Fish-Recipes/GrilledBasilLimeTilapia.htm
  • Tilapia is sooooooo good. I foil wrapped mine and grilled it (takes almost NO time to cook). Lemme find the recipe. www.easyfishrecipes.info/Recipies/Grilled-Fish-Recipes/GrilledBasilLimeTilapia.htm So tasty and I think I'm able to eat two of those with grilled sweet potatoes (I cut them into silverdollars foil wrap these…
  • If it has lots of sugar/high fructose syrup or enriched grains....RUN THE OTHER WAY! The first ingredient should be what the product is advertising. You want the least amount of ingredients in your food (less preservatives) The ingredients should be real food and not chemicals. 100 calorie packs are misleading. Sure, they…
  • Definately the Smoked Salmon. So good for you during weight loss. You can always ask for half portions (not sure, but 3-4 oz is only 170 calories) or doggie bag half of your food if it's more. And you can add on lots of veggies! Don't be afraid to ask for it. And I would say ixnay the bagel and cream cheese, or go for half…
  • Same as you. My mom actually will point out when I've gained weight and then she'll be quiet when I lose it. So, that's when I start talking out loud. "Oh shoot, I need to have a small snack or my sugar levels will go down and then I won't be able to work out later. Where's an apple or rice cakes?" It's a lot harder now…
  • You know, if you are looking to get active...there are online exercise videos. AND you could do the fun www.thrilltheword.com Thriller challenge! They are trying to break last year's record.
  • My mom has eating issues. Her problem is that she eats almost nothing or lumps of meals with all sorts of margerine and fat and then drinks TONS of Coca Cola. She claims Diet Soda gives her headaches, which is fine, but then she won't drop the Coke. If I had that much sugar in my system (she starts her DAY out with a soda…
  • Sometimes I feel like I burn more "learning" the moves. Just because it takes so much energy to get myself into the right form. I'd think that once you learn them better, if you tighten your tummy and concentrate on form, THEN it's probably more calories burned.

  • It depends on the activity level. Low, Moderate, heavy. If you are doing the plyo part of it I'd say it's in the heavy realm. This is the spring steps and really putting your all into it. I think you can look up aerobic dancing?

  • Check out Renew Life's Organic Cleanse. It's a good idea to do every 6 months or so. Get all the crud out. Follow the directions closely. Limit or eliminate your caffine. It was hard for me so I just stuck to coffee pot coffee. Drink LOTS of water. I had good results from it. It's a 2 weeks cleanse.
  • I eat out differently. I think half portions. I think more veggies. I think NO French Fries. Sauces on the side or no sauces depending on what the sauce is. Annnnnd...I find excuses to drink more water. (like when I take my vitamins or supplements) Before, I gained tons of weight because I wanted to finish a plate and then…
  • You can eat as many fruits and veggies AS YOU WANT! Well, without exploding. Basically, til you are full. Just recognize when you are full. Don't go overboard. Eat slowly and chew your food so you can digest it easier. I don't usually accurately track my intake of fruits & veggies because they are such an efficient food,…
  • Ooooh...this is interesting as well: Dietary Sources: Red meat (particularly lamb) and dairy products are the primary sources of carnitine. It can also be found in fish, poultry, tempeh, wheat, asparagus, avocados, and peanut butter. OM NOM!
  • Can you please direct me to a link about the "muscle optimizer/weight gain" part? Everything that I've looked up has it pointing to being the natural nutrient in the body that breaks down fat. ---- As per this article: http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/carnitine-l-000291.htm Weight Loss Although L-carnitine has been…
  • If anyone is interested...lemme tell you what...learning the Thriller dance is a hard workout! www.thrilltheworld.com ANNNND it's lots of fun. Be ready for the next Thrill The World record breaking similtaneous dance in October?
  • I tried it before my workout once. Still unsure of the results. I'll keep using it til the bottle is gone. Supposedly it targets your fat calories first according to the "genius" at Super Supplements, but what I really wanted to know was the technical stuff. Like chemical composition and actual physiology of it. I guess…
  • Don't fret! I did that and worse...like, thought..."Oh, I got to my goal of 138 so I can afford to go out drinking, eat a ton of fried food...I still work out" Well, I let my mind go. And it got to the point that I was still eating that way and gained back ALL the 30 lbs I lost and even stopped working out as much. I wish…
  • Hmmmm. Was thinking about this. Maybe this'll help, but try doing half (one scoop) and then doing fresh fruit with it instead. Less calories per gram and will fill you up.
  • We can't? (lol)
  • I think I ran across that when I lost weight the last time. Your body has adjusted to what you are doing and is regulating. I suggest reevaluating the food types, changing the style of workout you do, shock your body. Pick something new, work different muscles. I have a friend who works out WAYYYY more than I do, and she's…
  • If you are still hungry...like I have been the past couple days (must be coming close to that certain T.O.T.M.)...do what I did. Go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of strawberries! My store had them buy 1 get 1 free. They are in peak season right now. I had to drive to Seattle and I just munched on those to help me…
