Meditate. Unplug phone/tv/computer for 10 minutes and close your eyes. Inhale love, exhale stress, anxiety. Inhale peace, exhale frustration. Just breath with focus for 10 minutes. Remember you are so beautiful. You are stronger than your impulses. Organize a drawer or your closet. Put on music and dance. Drink LOTS of…

Try this - it's from the 17 day diet - but- just even try it for one day. Eat ONLY protein and low-sugar fruits and veggies and decaf green tea after each meal and 8 glasses of water. It totally works to move the scale. Have egg whites scrambled with spinach and small amount of hard cheese (feta?). Then non-fat plain…

That is AMAZING. I know those buttery, warm, jam biscuits...they are hard to pass up!

I didn't lose more than 2 pounds in first month. Mine has been a slow and steady weight lose. I think everyone has mental issues they struggle with and what MFP does is to help you log on each day while you work through the other stuff. It becomes a safe and logical place to put your food intake and exercise down and if…

I think sometimes when we get embarrassed, we go to defensive mode. As you get older, you realize - hey - I'm not going to take this so personally. It's a rule. I didn't know about it. Now I do. Lesson learned - move on. You're still a great employee. Don't sit behind your desk. Turn it into joke if you have to. But - feel…

I agree. I would add to stick with "known" calorie count foods when stuck at a weight. It's hard to always guess correctly. Or look up a "successful" week of foods where you lost weight and copy one of those days/weeks. Sometimes doing calming exercises helps me - instead of frenetic running/burning 500 calories - take it…

FANTASTIC! You look SO beautiful! Way to go. Be sure to reach your arm around and give yourself a HUGE pat on the back. You are inspiring!

I"ve read in other posts that you can actually reset your protein to go as high as 100 instead of their low 45 or whatever. That is the ONE area it is great in which to be over! Just helps build muscle mass and keep you feeling full. Stick to the low proteins like low-fat cottage cheese and turkey, as opposed to peanut…

WOW!!! Good for you!!! You look like you've never had a tummy! Congrats. Now FLAUNT that thing!

Very funny. Did I burn a calorie laughing? Better log it...

Thanks! Good tip.

Yes - it staves off appetite. I use it on non-fat plain yogurt with dash of brown sugar. If calories allow - add walnuts and blueberries. Really good - tastes like dessert.

Non-scale victory. I had to google it!

Just take it day at a time. Saw good Dr. Oz tips today - VERY TRUE. 1. Find healthy foods you like. 2. Planning decreases stress - plan what you'll eat that day so you don't have to think about it. 3. WATER WATER WATER with lemon.

I personally don't count shopping as walking - even though I know it is a LOT of walking! I only count purposeful exercise walking. But, to be safe - just take half the calories as calories earned. Looks like your losing weight - so whatever you are doing is working! Good job!

I agree with gum or lifesaver/mint and LOTS of water. I put herbal tea bags in my water bottle to give it fruit flavor. DO SOMETHING NEW. take a 10-minute walk. Do 20 sit ups. Write a poem. Read a magazine article. Knit. Ride a bike. Go to the library. GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE! Just getting outside makes those cravings go…

Who knew Billy Dee Williams would be using the site! Is he your Doppleganger - celeb look-alike.

Probably dehydrated. Be sure you drink at least 64 oz. a day - and add some gatorade while working out. Should help cut craving.

I JUST had this quandry last night. I felt REALLY scared eating 1,590 calories! But - I did within 20 calories, and guess what? I LOST 1/2 pound! So - they really do figure out your deficit already and you should eat what you burn above the 1200. It is true if you don't eat enough, your body goes into starvation mode and…

Hmmm...try cereal or orange. My fave treat - 1/2 banana microwave with 5 dark choc. chips and a couple pieces walnut. Taste like banana split. Add dollop non-fat vanilla yogurt. Or jelly beans. Frozen blueberries or grapes.

I really like non-fat cottage cheese - it is high protein. Also hummos.
