Hi there! I'm 5'10", 155 lbs. and 34% BF...but I've lost over 40 lbs. so far. I'm more focused on getting my BF down to see what that does to my overall appearance. It hasn't been easy! Good luck and feel free to add me.

From my own personal experience, I got beyond the problem by switching to high quality running shoes and stick to a treadmill which is more forgiving than pavement. I hope you can figure this out. I have enjoyed the ability to add running to my cardio routine. Good luck!

I have a better feeling about myself when I look in the mirror than I do when I see myself in pictures, and especially when I'm next to someone else who is smaller than I am. :grumble:

I personally love going to the gym. But it is a meat market at the Gold's I belong to...so someone who is feeling self conscious about their size/weight may not feel comfortable. I totally get it and was feeling that way 40 pounds ago myself.

Unless you FEEL like something is wrong (which it doesn't sound like it until this "trainer" started throwing up negative crap), keep doing what you're doing. If you want to make sure just to be on the safe side, your physician would be the next stop...not another trainer. Keep up the good work!

Some thoughts... 1 - When entering your weight information on a machine, round "down" to help (i.e., instead of "183", enter "180") 2 - If you're deciding between MFP calorie burn and a machine...underestimating is better I would rather underestimate the BURN and overestimate CONSUMPTION because the reverse won't get you…

Not having "those" snacks available is an option. You could try healthier snacks or allow for those snacking calories so you don't feel bad about it afterwards. Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:
