January 4: 182.6 January 7: 177.4 January 14: 175.2 January 21: 174.8 January 28: 172.4 Total pounds lost for the month of January 2024: 10.2 Thank you for the challenge! It has really kept me focussed.

@LornaDiane1 Maybe it's worth trying to increase your calorie intake a little bit and see if that helps? I've heard that sometimes the body will try to hang on to its reserves if calorie intake is pitched too low, especially if you're trying to be more active too.

Thank you so much!

@36Gabriella12 I don't think I know of a way to reply directly to individual messages, but if you type the @ symbol and then type your message, it will at least flag it to the person you're trying to talk to.

Sorry everyone. It was a bit of a mad weekend, and I weighed myself but forgot to check in. Here's the update: January 4: 182.6 January 7: 177.4 January 14: 175.2 January 21: January 28: Total pounds lost for the month of January 2024: 7.4

January 4: 182.6 January 7: 177.4 January 14: January 21: January 28: Total pounds lost for the month of January 2024: 5.2 This has surprised me, but I'm finally refocusing on my nutrition and exercise for probably the first time properly since 2020, so I suspect at least some of this is water weight and generalβ¦

Hello. I'm a little late so am starting with my weight from yesterday (aka the first day post-New Year I had access to my scales again). January 4: 182.6 January 7: January 14: January 21: January 28:

I'm having the same problem. It blanks the whole list every 3 ingredients. This is only on the web browser - not the app.

For some reason itβs syncing some of my steps but not all (and not every day) and not my exercise. It makes it so hard to judge what calorie total to aim for!

1200 calories for a STARTER from TGI Fridays. Iβve never been back. I canβt afford to haha.

Update at the end of the week rather than the beginning because I lost the thread  Philosopher's Stone has 223 pages. Added together, these numbers equal 7. [x] 144lbs by Monday 23rd January. Chamber of Secrets has 251 pages. Added together, these numbers equal 8. [x] 143lbs by Tuesday 31st January. Prisoner ofβ¦

Can I adapt this idea? I have 10lbs to go to reach my goal weight. Since that would only take me midway through CoS, could I do this as a time-oriented challenge rather than a weight-oriented one, to get the most out of the structure? If I assume 1lb per book and use the numbers above as days rather than pounds, takingβ¦

Hi guys. I'd love to join in on this but we're nearly at the end of the month. Would anyone mind if I just reduced my sugar for the next week with all of you so I'm not going totally cold turkey, then start up a new challenge in November?
-
Thanks guys, this is all really helpful!

I've had to halt the challenge for a bit because I'm having problems with my left arm. Not sure what's wrong with it, but I get pain when my arms are in certain positions so I'm not wanting too much pressure on it until it's back to normal. I'll start over in a week or so when hopefully the pain will have sorted itself out.

Day 1 done yesterday.

I'm in. This is one of the parts I really struggle with at barre and I need to improve!
-
Thanks, that's really helpful. Any particular veggies that would work best? I'm assuming steer clear of things like celery, cucumber and melon which have a high water content. Would root vegetables like carrots work the best? Sorry, although I've been diabetic a long time, most of it is intuitive now and I'm not used toβ¦

Along similar lines, could anyone recommend any snack food which is low in sugar but contains quite a lot of carbs? I'm a type 1 diabetic and am in the process of readjusting my insulin as the weather changes, but I need snack foods to bump my bloods back up a bit until I get it balanced again. Slow release carbs are bestβ¦

Hi. Is it too late to join in?

The plan at the moment, which seems to be working, is to try to avoid exercises that make me really hungry. Swimming. Running when it is really warm (no idea why that's a factor). Basically, keep the forms of exercise rotating.
-
I've certainly found it very motivating and would love to be involved again.
-
:( I've gone up this week. Not really sure why - my exercise has actually increased. Maybe I was more hungry as a result and my portions got bigger without my noticing? I'll have to watch out for that.
-
Great job guys! In the top 5 two weeks running - we're all doing really well!
-
I usually weigh in on Mondays so I've updated the spreadsheet with my weight for the weigh-in on the 11th. I hope that's ok, but I'll have trouble remembering to do it if I need to check back in later this week.

I try for manners, always. I am polite, and I hold the door open for others (male or female). I feel that this type of behaviour is a general courtesy. My brother held the door open for a lady a few months ago and was told that in doing so he was being misogynistic. He is now getting confused over what constitutesβ¦

Hi everyone! My name is Christine and I live in North-East England. In taking part in this mostly to focus myself to get the last bit of my weight down in more easily achievable mini-targets. I tend to fall off the wagon otherwise.
