Do it! I've done a number of 5Ks and an 8K and 10K. I love them and just challenge myself to do better each time. I typically go alone as well, but that hasn't stopped me yet. I'm doing a 10K in about a month and a 10 miler in November. Working my way up to do a half marathon in 2022. I am a walker with slow jog intervals.

I'm struggling right now too after months of doing good, but you are so right fiddletime! I've been down this road before but this time in getting back on track before I go too far off the path.

I know the feeling and it is hard to get started and then to stick with it, but you know what? You just have to keep chugging along. You'll have bad days and worse days, but just keep going. Indulge if you feel you must, but make sure you log it and keep logging every day. Once you start seeing results and getting…

I have rheumatoid arthritis as well, but was diagnosed in my 20s. Like someone else mentioned, consistent exercise is what has kept my pain at bay for the last several months. It was hard at first, but once my body got used to it, I felt great. I started with walking and Zumba (not the lowest impact activity, but I love…

I'm an Anytime Fitness member, but only use MFP. I did try Anytime Health for a very short while right after I joined the first time several years ago (quit then rejoined this year), but found this site to be more useful.

Great job and thanks for sharing. I've done a few 5Ks and will be doing my first 10K in a few months, but my biggest goal is to do a half marathon so this was very motivating and encouraging

I have RA and at my highest was close to 300 pounds. I've lost about 46 pounds at this point and have found that my increased exercise has actually helped with the RA pain. In the beginning I focused on my food intake and exercised here and there, but now I exercise about 5 times a week for 45 min up to 90 min…

I'm a nurse and had this in both feet a few years ago so I know your pain. I ended up having to get steroid shots as the home remedies weren't enough. The shots worked wonders and I've been able to maintain by stretching , icing, and the occasional naprosyn for pain control. The tennis ball works great too. The shots were…
