I can't eat oatmeal for breakfast, or I'm also starving about 1-2 hours later. I'm better off if I eat nothing than if I eat cereal or oatmeal only for breakfast.

I'm trying to work out consistently. Right now, I'm on week 6 of the 8-week PiYo program.

I'm on week 5, and I like it. It does seem like I should be getting more cardio somehow, but I definitely feel like I'm getting stronger and more flexible. I'm good with that right now.

I'm 5'6, and my goal is 140. I would love to go down to 135, but we will see when (if) I ever get close to there! I have a fairly large frame and was wearing around a size 6 when I was at 140.

I found some good knee strengthening exercises for my knees by just googling it. I have condromalacia patella, so I've been trying to do some exercises to help the alignment of my knee cap. Some of them are supposed to strengthen the muscles on the inside of my knee to help with that. Also any exercises that strengthen the…

My ultimate goal is to lose about 50 pounds myself. I never lost all of my pregnancy weight, and my child is 4 years old now! No excuse. ;)

What pops in my head as an answer is, "It's tiiiiime for lunch!" from Bubble Guppies. But, I have a 4-year-old, so...

Having a baby is an EXTREME adjustment. At least, it was for me. I struggled for about the first year, but it definitely gets better. I did go on a low dose of medication that helped me. Also, I wish I would have accepted more help early on...would have made it a lot easier, I think.

I think your deficit should be calculated from your TDEE, not your BMR. Your BMR is the number of calories you burn doing absolutely nothing...like comatose. Your TDEE takes into account your activity throughout the day (normal activities). Hopefully someone else will chime in with more detailed information. You can use a…

Right?? This is my ultimate goal, and I'm just under 5'6".

I need to lose closer to 50 lbs. to be at goal, but I'm up for new friends!

1200 may be too low for you, as it is for most people. Upping it to 1300 or even 1400 might make it easier to stick with, and is most likely still under your maintenance calories (depending on your stats and activity level, of course).
-
I definitely see a difference in the size of your stomach and arms. It can be frustrating to not as much progress as you might want, but just stick with it. This is my biggest problem...wanting to see results too quickly, and when I don't see them, I give up! If your clothes are fitting better, that is a good indication of…

I'm set at 1500 calories per day and eat all my exercise calories calculated by my Fitbit. If I follow this, I lose fairly consistently.
-
I could have written exactly this about myself. It's so frustrating!

Hi! I'm not new to MFP, but I really need to recommit! I need to lose about 45 pounds. Anyone feel free to add me!

This is my first time posting...just joined the group. My 3 year old was born in July 2012. I gained almost 60 lbs. during my pregnancy. I've lost about 30 of the 60, but that was over the first several months after he was born. After that, I've been stuck. I haven't weighed in several weeks, but I really need to. I've…

I lost about 20 lbs last summer and have gained every bit of it back. I desperately need to get back on track, but it is so stinking hard for me. I love food!
-
I'm a working mom of a 3-year-old boy. I really want to lose the "pregnancy" (ha-after 3 years....) weight I gained and lose another 20 lbs after that.
-
I'm in, as well!
-
I try to order Beef and Broccoli, if they have that available.

I'm right there with you. I'm 34 and need to lose about 40 lbs, honestly. My weight goes up and down all the time, and I really struggle with falling off the wagon as well.

I have a little boy who's getting ready to turn 3. I get up early to work out before I shower and get ready for work (around 5:00 a.m.). My son didn't consistently sleep through the night until he was about 14 months old, so my workouts were very sporadic before that point. Now I try to get up at least 4 days a week to…

Very inspirational! Thank you for posting, everyone.
