  • I would try the chiropractor. I don't ever go unless there's a major emergency type thing, but they are helpful on those occasions. Even just 2 visits could help the issue and that's better than suffering for weeks! Hope you get better soon.
  • @euni-there are several people in the other thread doing a hybrid of the two. I am going to be adding TurboFire as my cardio as soon as I get my disks which should be today or tomorrow.
  • @Muffin-Sorry about the pinched nerve. That stinks!! I am getting my TF soon so I will be using that for my cardio as well. I understand it's a lot more fun.
  • First thing I HIGHLY recommend is finding a Divorce Recovery type group. I LOVED the DivorceCare one. It's offered all over the place and it really helps you get your head and heart straight after a divorce. You can Google it to find more information. Just as with weight loss, it helps to have someone else to talk to who…
  • I second the "eat more breakfast" advice. Otherwise, I see you aren't eating all of your exercise calories back so maybe try eating a little more? Even just 100-200 calories CLOSER to the target give.
  • Welcome to all the newcomers. I think all of us on here are both here and on this other thread http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/293721-chalean-extreme-group-starting-monday-5-23 Everyone in the above mentioned thread is at different stages of the program and there are some that are doing the TF/CLX Hybrid. I just…
  • Started Burn Circuit 1 this morning with the bands and I think that once I get the higher resistance ones today they're going to work just fine! I really feel all the muscles I worked this morning already.
  • Welcome to everyone joining in. I'm totally excited! I've spent the last couple of days watching the sessions we'll be working on for the next 4 weeks and it looks like it's going to be challenging but fun. Can hardly wait for Monday to roll around.
  • I just got a set of bands that you can combine for different resistance levels on Amazon. I hope I don't hate them ;-) They really are the max end of my budget so I'm going to make the best of what I have. Either way, I'm sure the program will be quite effective.
  • When I had it I would take raw ginger root, slice a couple tablespoons off it, and boil it in water, like a tea, then let it cool to room temp and drink that. It is a natural anti-nausea agent.
  • Couple of suggestions: Use low fat ricotta, cut it with non-fat cottage cheese, use garlic and basil You can use zucchini cut into thin, wide strips instead of noodles, or eggplant, portabella mushrooms, or a combination of all three. Get a decent pasta sauce or just use stewed tomatoes and your own seasoning Just some…
  • I was wondering about the resistance bands. It seems most of the people on the other thread seem to use weights, but weights are so expensive!! I only have up to 8 pound weights so I'm certainly going to need more resistance than that eventually. How did you like Burn Circuit 1? Mine shipped recently, estimated arrival…
  • We're trying to put together another group for motivation on this. One person starting on the 28th and I'm starting on the 1st (as soon as I get my disks). The more the merrier...here's the link to the thread if you're interested.…
  • I'm starting on the first of August (because I assume that's about when I'll have my disks I just ordered)! I'd love to join you in getting this done. I was searching for a support/motivation group myself. Sam
  • Welcome back! I recently returned myself so I know how frustrating that can be
  • I did L1D1 this morning also, but I'm only doing it 3 times a week to supplement my running routine.
  • I drink a cup of lite vanilla soy milk (70cal, 5g sugar, 6g protein) with 1TBS Ovaltene (20cals, 9g sugar) as my post-workout, pre-bed snack. But I love chocolate milk so for me this is a treat. :)
  • I was at the grocery store yesterday and was looking at pecans and I could SMELL the brown sugar. It was nauseating.
  • I have what my ex called "food claustrophobia" I can't eat if there is too much food on my plate. I don't mind if it's touching or mixed, but if the plate is FULL I can't eat. I always have to get a to go box at restaurants before I can even eat a bite...
  • I'm in Southern Arizona and I just planted my Butternut Squash and Artichokes in my containers as well as my herbs. This is my first year doing veggies...I'm thinking of getting some peppers, eggplant and tomatilloes to plant too. But I can't decide between rigging a raised bed or just getting more containers. And of…

  • Exactly!! I always think "I look THICK" :-P
  • I enter it into the recipe thing here on the site also. Just estimate on the stuff you didn't measure...but measure next time so you can get the recipe more accurate ;-) Then if you LOVE it it's easy to recreate too.
  • Silk is the best of all the ones I've tasted. It's going to take her a bit to adapt to it though. Eventually, if she wants her chocolate milk that bad she will. You may want to go for the unsweetened kind...there's a lot of sugar in the soy milk. When you add chocolate syrup it's even more.
  • http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2770/2 http://caloriecount.about.com/calories-potato-baked-flesh-skin-i11674?size_grams=138.0 Both of these sites put the small potato at about 128 calories...
  • Happens to mine too. At work I plunk it on the bread and toss it in the toaster over for a few seconds to soften. Otherwise, I'd throw what I'm going to use in a small cup and nuke it for a couple of seconds.
  • You could do a stuffed acorn squash for her main dish...some black beans, tomato, brown rice or quinoa, a little olive oil and garlic...bake the squash, cut in half, add stuffing and bake to warm...
  • I second that...Call the doctor
  • I'm with you on both of those...and I log my runs etc, but after reading that article I'm wondering if I can figure out a way to log how many reps of each exercise in Jillian Michael's Ripped DVD I do each day...?? lol That way I can make sure to do at least one more of each every time.
