  • My NSV, I feel like my mind set has done a complete 180 and I bloody needed it. It was horrible for a while there, pretty sure I cried almost everyday for a week. But I think I have it now. I think I have decided to just focus on me and fight for me. I think everything else will fall into place. Or at least I hope it will.…
  • I am going to celebrate an older NSV, two weeks ago before more lockdown restrictions came into effect, I was swimming in the pool for an hour non stop. Plus I had almost crossed the whole pool underwater on one breathe. If they hadn't shut the pools, I figure I would be making it the whole way across under with one…
  • Basically for myself it was my mother ever so loving pointing out to me that I was getting fat again. And while it hurt to hear that from her, I then stood on the scale and realized, yup she was right. I had gained back all the weight I had lost my last time round on MFP. So I thought nope, not again. So about 115 days…
  • Yay! I am happy dancing for you. I can only get into them so far against the wall. Baby steps.
  • I feel ya!!! That moment of holding it for more than one second is amazing! Keep up the good work
  • I haven't done yoga in almost 3 weeks. I did some last night and today. Here's the best part, I was amazed that I was able to get deeper into my poses than I previously had. And that it stopped raining and now I go hit up a bike rip.
  • Well mine is in kilometers, but seeing your post made me curious as to how many I have on my mountain bike this year. So I calculated it (started mid April to now) and I have 728.33k which isn't anywhere near your 3000 miles, but I still call it a win! And perhaps I should make a mini goal of hitting 1000k before it gets…
  • Mini goal, 60 days into this process and I am 10 lbs down!!! I just did a happy dance. Plus I can see it in my face now. YAY!
  • Mini goal moment, down to 161 and that means by the end of this month I will be in the 150's. I am beyond stoked right now. I had paused at 163 for over 2 weeks and was getting a bit miffed. But I forgot this happens from time to time and just keep pushing forward. Marathon, not a sprint.
  • Today the head space was awful. Probably just over tired from night shift but I had to force myself to go on a bike ride and even then it was bad. So the mini thing motivating me today is just keep going. It's a marathon not a sprint! Every day is different. Some are amazing and others are absolute garbage. I know as long…
  • Today it's weighing myself and seeing that I have lost 7lbs. Probably not accurate because I didn't weigh myself for the first two, almost three weeks when I restarted logging my intake. And trying on a pair of shorts that were tight at the start of summer and now they aren't. Small win but I shall take it.
  • Just watching the number of times I have tracked my food and exercise go up. 33 days in and counting.
  • Pre logging my workouts. It's forcing me to be accountable to myself. Also pre logging my meals, so I know exactly what I can eat later. Also was very shocked when I stood on the scale for the first time since restarting this again.(I am 17 days into it this time) I didn't want to admit how much I had fallen off the rails.…
  • The pains......and you must listen to them and take breaks from running even if it's going to make you cry because you can't go for 2 months. New running shoes when the old ones die....you have to get the right ones. Freezing your butt off waiting for your gps to find your location....lol So a mental game. The moment you…
  • @WhatMeRunning I found the obstacles were pretty good. They had them set up so if you felt that you couldn't do one there was an easier one. Or you could just go around some. Nothing was overly difficult. Now if you did the Spartan race that was different. I think there you are expected to have a different level of…
  • @WhatMeRunning I've only done the mud run. Super fun and I didn't do any extra training for it. Just my normal running. It was 6k run with 20 obstacles. Some of them were harder to get over than others but mostly I just did it for fun, so I wasn't to concerned about my time. @kristinegift I have that issue too (watering…
  • @moyer566 Love your photos. I would love to see this place someday. Another one to add to the bucket list. That puppy is getting long...lol Running music.....I don't actually listen to bands when I run....too much change up....I like to listen to dj sets. They generally are 2 hours long and that 4x4 tempo keeps me moving…
  • @Stoshew71 Thanks I hope it gets better too. I was missing my runs and my post run smoothie...lol  Jan 3 - 4k run Monday Jan 4 - went surfing for 1 hour and 30 minutes Tuesday Jan 5 - went swimming laps for 50 minutes. Wednesday Jan 6 - worked my wonderful 12 hour shift. Jan 7 - 5k run Jan 8 - 5k run
  • Okay so last month didn't happen because of my hip injury. That was crappy. So I am not setting a goal for this month just going to try and get out there every now and then. Hip pain dependent. Otherwise I'm going to cross train as much as I can. So thus far I have 5k which I ran today and felt pretty good. Monday Jan 4 -…
  • I don't hate the gym. It has it's place for those who like it. I'm an outdoor girl. And most of my workouts are outside, hiking, biking, surfing, snowboarding, skating and running to name a few. And those that I do inside, like yoga and weights, I do them at home because that's my happy place. It's my time to be…
  • Been a while since I posted in the group so I'm back and I'm in for 40k. But I'll be starting slow because my hip is killing me every time I run, so I'm taking two (maybe more) weeks off. Got to let it heal.

  • @RunTimer and @shanaber I forgot how amazing yoga is. And it's such a great way to stretch out muscles. Which is good for me because I was never stretching before or after runs...my bad I know.
  • I'm back again for another month of running but I've been doing a lot of yoga because all my muscles have been getting really tight and it's been making running really unpleasant. But the yoga has really been helping a whole lot. Especially with the tight hips and calves that I was getting. June 2 - yoga June 3 -…
