  • I appreciate your willingness to be positive and encouraging!
  • Yea YOU!!! Glad you were able to make that connection. All the good things you are doing for yourself these days - YOU ARE WORTH IT!
  • Make sure you're eating enough and make sure you vary your fitness routine. Confuse your muscles, make sure you're working out hard and building sexy muscles! Good luck!
  • This is a really good forum to learn about your body and about keeping YOU HEALTHY! Just remember - you are worth it! Take the time and it'll work! Best of luck to you :)

  • Best of luck to you. I used to live in NC and I know you have mountains or beaches - hopefully you live close enough to one of those to enjoy them and get outside and get fit!
  • I don't think that's enough carbs to kill you and if you really like it, you've made some great choices to make it fit within your plan. My favorite - portion control - you only have 9 tater tots!! You can enjoy the deliciousness that is potato pieces without eating a whole bag. I can do that, you know  Best of luck…

  • Maybe a little shake up was what your body needed! Too much routine gets your body comfortable. New day. Smile and do something good for you today. You're worth it
  • I'd just consider those extra calorie burning days!
  • If you're working out a lot and spending a lot of calories, your body might think your starving if you don't feed it enough. I've been eating more high nutrient stuff (fruit mainly) and sometimes I'm over on my calories but I lost 4 pounds in a really short period of time. I could tell it just "fell off". Good luck!
  • Best of luck to you!
  • I've got a trip planned to Cancun in November and I really want to feel like I'm ROCKIN' my bikini when I go!! Great motivation, isn't it?? Best of luck to you :)
  • If you'll do some research on muscle memory, I think your slow vs fast is good for that as well. Try getting off your treadmill and go outside. Walk as fast as you feel like, without a number dictating your pace. Feel good about it! Unless you have allergies, and then I'm sorry :(
  • If you're not feeding your body adequately it won't let go of your excess pounds. Eat right and eat enough. Feed your body with nutrients it needs and it'll reward you!
  • Don't think of it as a diet! What if you follow some rules, get into your skinny jeans, go back to the old way and then you're out again! Go slow, make some changes you can stick with. Forever. One thing that's really helped me recently is trying to eat more whole and raw foods. I didn't like it at first, but yesterday I…
  • Every healthy choice you make in food or exercise is one really nice thing you've done for yourself. YOU ARE WORTH IT - so don't give up! If you've been exercising a lot, you're building muscles and muscles are heavy. Don't be a slave to the scale, it's just a number, how do your clothes feel? Can you see a little muscle…
  • Try a greek yogurt after your class. It's light but filling. Siggi's Icelandic Skyr is really thick, not very sweet, and has some interesting flavors for 100 calories.
  • If you're seeing results - you're doing something right! Cut back a bit if your losing starts to taper off.
  • Try this... Boneless skinless chicken breast, rub them down with really cold plain greek yogurt (coated but not slathered), roll the yogurt covered chicken breast in bread crumbs and a little flour (I use crushed up croutons, they have spices already in them), salt and pepper a bit. Bake on 400 60 minutes and flip them…

  • Kind of expensive, and if you like sweet you're out of luck, but Siggi's Icelandic Skyr (thick yogurt) is awesome! It doesn't have any added sugar, light taste, orange and ginger is my favorite, and it will keep you full for a few hours. At Fresh Market, Whole Foods, nicer supermarkets. I like to mix fresh blueberries in…
  • Muscles are prettier, and heavier, than fat. I started working with a trainer to do more strength work and although the scale hasn't moved, I can see the difference in the mirror. Stick with it! You're going to get there!

  • I think as long as you vary your activities, that counts as rest. If you do wind sprints every day, that is not resting! A rest day doesnt mean you have to lay up, just do something fun and don't feel like you have to push yourself to the maximum.
  • Search under "aerobics", there is a high intensity and a low intensity. Just be honest about how hard you actually exerted yourself. It's probably pretty close. Good luck!
  • I can't believe you found 20 people to run with you! That's pretty awesome! What if you have a raffle for prizes at the end. Every time you make a group run your name goes in the hat. At the end you pick 5 names for gifts, whatever your folks would get a charge out of. After your long runs, have a pot-luck brunch. I…
  • Wow! Slow down! This is Christmas and family time. So don't make it about the food. Not certain if your trapped by lousy weather or if you can get outside, but make plans to DO things with the folks. Play cards - in the other room away from the Cheetos. Go for a walk with your Mum or Sister-in-law, whoever - just don't…

  • I understand how you feel about finding time to work out. I also work until 7 or so and I've had to make the (painful) decision to get up and exercise first thing. I know I'm going to be drained at the end of the day, or just make it home to change clothes and work some more, gotta love a laptop! I walk my dogs at 4:45.…
