You look amazing! well done you! :-)

VERY inspirational boys and girls - well done! I hope to have some progress to show you some day soon!

Good work - enjoy your journey! You can do it!

Well done you! And if anything, I think sizes were smaller back in the day (they are making the sizes bigger so we are flattered into buying them!) - so double NSV!

I feel your pain! I dont think I am losing friends as such, but I have to admit that I am less interested in meeting up with my friends cos EVERYTHING revolves around eating or going for a drink! annoys the hell out of me, but what can you do? It would be great if any of them wanted to go to the gym (not just to go in the…

If 2 say one thing and 1 is off, I'd go with the majority! Anyway, I would pick one and use that as your 'correct' weight - any others can be an indicator of your weight (my home scales are 'correct' - I still jump on at the gym though). HTH

Hi there, I am 5'4'' and in the low 130's, looking to get to the low 120's to start with. i will keep an eye on this thread as it looks as though there are lots of us in the same position! Good luck everyone!

{I've said this before on here}, but my other half is very active and very skinny, while I am always trying to lose that extra 7-10lbs. When I am focused on my health - which is most of the time (but I do have lapses), I am in charge of food in our house - he is just too busy to do anything anyway - I buy the food, plan…

I take veggie chilli in the winter and eat it cold. Only carbs are in the beans and they are also protein, so I dont worry too much.

I am no expert, but the raw food diets claim to help get your body back into balance - can reverse diabetes, etc. Personally, I find that kind of regime too restrictive and prefer to eat clean when I am focussing on my health, but it sounds like you are in a position where only change will help, so maybe this could work…

Hiya! Good luck with the WW. I tried the PP plan late last year before they really launched it in the new year. I found that eventually (after only 4 weeks or so) that I was eating within the points, but it felt like too much food and I wasnt losing. That's why it was such a breath of fresh air finding this site. I'll be…

Hiya! There is loads of great advice people here have given you on this thread. I think the key thing to note is that most people who are successfully losing weight do plan their food - there's another thread on here somewhere where it shows some people plan a week in advance, some people the night before or the morning of…

I totally struggle with the weekends too - mainly because we are out and about visiting friends or on nights out which involve dinners and/or drinking. I am no expert, but I try to ballpark-plan how many calories I am having on saturday at the start of the week (add in the foods I might be eating if I know which restaurant…

Hi - one of my favourite lunches is left over vegetable chilli - I can also eat it cold as it's similar to a salsa, but chunkier and more filling. If I need a varb fix I take a wrap with me and fill that with some and eat the rest on its own. And I always finish my work lunches with a fat free yoghurt - really fills me up…

Has anyone else got any more tips? I love this thread... x

ooooh I love this thread - and there are some great tips here, so thanks! Here are my thoughts: - low fat yoghurts - really fill you up and work well with breakfast or as a pudding for lunch - Bircher muesli - I measure out the measly portion that the packet reccommends, add my soy milk and grate half an apple (for…

Hi there - I call myself vegetarian, although I do eat fish and seafood. I dont have a problem with this - what do you find hard? My boyf is not vegetarian at all, but knows that the food I prepare is healthy and if he can get his dinner made for him, he's happy! I do buy him meat though and he will have that when I will…

Hiya! I am based in Surrey, feel free to add me! Am maybe thinking about doing a half marathon in July, so if anyone can convince me its a good idea, that would be great! (I did the Windsor one a couple of years ago and still havent concluded that doing them is such a good idea! - lots of inspirational people at the london…

I look at my calories on a weekly total basis - there is a weekly graph on the app which shows where you are coming in over the whole week. Just like you have days where you have burned so many calories you cannot eat enough, you will probably also have days where you cant exercise and go over your intake, so on a weekly…

Sound fabulous - I often make bran muffins for brekfast which I crumble into a yoghurt - perhaps I can now start my days with brownies! I hope the 'makes 20' doesnt translate to 'makes 4' in my house - this is a common problem which is why I try to make things individually. Perhaps I will put the mix in muffin tins and…

my pet hate is the 'what food is your major weakness?' posts - so everyone starts thinking and writing about what they love and find hard to resist - which I think only makes you end up thinking about it more and will probably give most people ideas about going off and getting that gallon of ice cream (or whatever). It…

I am not sure whether this is recommended advice, but when this happens to me, I mix it up a bit - go over by 200 on a day and then make it up over 2 days - and repeat throughout the week. It keeps your body guessing - and is more representative of 'real' life where you have some treat days and some healtier days. That…

Sorry, my response is not going to be so helpful, but I am really interested in the answer myself. I did exactly the same (switched on my sugars) yesterday and found that even my daily banana with oatmeal is taking up most of my RDA so I am always likely to be over. I am certainly struggling with getting the balance right…

I have to say I disagree with this - I think feeling hunger is important. I do however agree that it is best not to get tooo hungry or there is a tendency to binge, But actually feeling hunger is how we are built to survive. It also allows your body to dig into those reserves it is storing. I like the idea that someone on…

Hi - I absolutely LOVE the Davina ones - there is such a range that you never get bored. Its similar to the Total Body Conditioning classes at Virgin active. Look on Amazon - the reviews are great and I am totally into them. There is a variety of lenght of workouts - so you can exercise for 30 mintues or one of them you…

PPPPPP - Proper Planning Prevents P*** Poor Performance! Ha ha... Yes, I definitely plan mine - usually for most of monday morning (dont tell the boss!) otherwise I would go over. And I usually have to account for weekend plans and dinners out so that I can save a few cals for later on in the week. This week is tough as we…

Am really looking forward to being 5lbs lighter - although this week is going to be tough with lots of social events. My weight at Sat 2nd was 132lbs. Thanks!

Hi, I'm from the UK and lived in NYC for a while. As far as I am aware, there is no UK version of Cool Whip - it's one of those american things - like sugar free maple syrup - we just dont get it here! Sorry. x
-
Hi - apparently sugar is the only nutrient that there is not an RDA (recommended daily allowance) for. The practical side of cutting out sugar is pretty hard though! HTH

Yes - it is good for you and much better for you than some other processed equivalent that you could eat and take on the same amount of calories. A weight watcher leader once told me that full fat hummus is 'as bad as cheese' when it comes to calories and fat, so I always have the low fat one if I can get it. If not, I…
