For me, it is definitely an appetite suppressant. In fact, I am on my third cup of Joe and have only eaten some cheese grits for breakfast and a pack of snack size almonds for a snack about twenty minutes ago. I could've gone with out, but I decided it was probably best. I could live off of coffee. P.S. I think it messes…

These are some great ideas. I needed to find this topic. I was super hungry after I had scrambled eggs for dinner, so I cut up a zucchini and stuffed it with tuna and some sprinkled cheese. That was satisfying. I try to keep some fresh veggies in the fridge for when I get a hankering. Oh, and some veggie dip cream cheese…

I hope this boat holds a lot! I'm climbing aboard.

Honestly, I don't even know what TDEE stands for, but yes I am sure with what the calories were when I was participating in that program. Like I said, I tracked what I ate and what they were pushing. Add in all the starches, dairy, fats, fruits, veggies, bars, and any other snacks, drinks, or whatnot.

I could use some active friends! I have been on the site for years and just don't stick with my guns. I have some support from my mom and a friend, so I am hoping this on top of the other will keep me going. In case anyone is interested, I am 29 years old and need to lose 100 pounds. I'll keep it at that. My weigh in is…

Thanks for all the replies! I suppose I can see how bars are good for those sweet cravings and won't knock you out. Might be good for a breakfast alternative when on the run. I know bars aren't magic, but I did wonder if the LA kind had some drug inside. Haha. Honestly, that program was not easy on the calories. I tried to…

I'm not sure where the information about me not counting calories was implied, but that is why I am using MFP. Like I mentioned previously, I used that program several years ago. It is not a continued use. I am asking about the bars they pushed and why others are raving about other protein bars. Thanks for your input…

I'm not really a challenge person, so what can I expect from this group? I just want a heads up. :]

I tried it a couple years ago, but I would not recommend it. I did lose weight, but once I stopped using it, I gained it ALL and MORE back. Plus, there was this weird taste to it. I have seen others who have used it faithfully, but they haven't kept it off as they hoped.

I'm there with you! I have been on a roller coaster. I lost sixty, gained 50, lost 30 gained it all back. Stress is awful. I need to figure out how to handle that issue. I think I'm on the right track now.

Not sure if this would apply to your situation, but I have discovered that eating right has a higher impact on me. I walk and just try to keep things simple. When I follow through with this, I lose the weight. When I add in some crazy stuff, my weight does not decrease. I understand muscle has a say in this, but I'm not…

Thank you. What would you consider a low sugar protein bar? I am having to stay away from gluten [physician orders], so I know that may narrow items down. I honestly don't work out a bunch, so I don't want to give the wrong impression.

I'm in the opposite boat. I'm a little bit younger than someone I am interested in. He's 40 and he's worried about the age gap. He has never voiced it directly to me, but he has to a mutual friend. I don't typically go for someone 12 years older than me, but there is an extreme amount of priorities and other issues in…

I forgot about it. I suppose I'm not very active in the community portion.

Thank you! I am trying to make a grocery list now. I have been trying to think of a variety of items to have on hand. I have snack portioned bags, so that will help out as well. It will just take time and determination on my end.

I get it. That's not the struggle. I appreciate your input though. Food prepping is a good idea, but that still puts me back to where I started.
-
I'm not viewing it as becoming burnt out on the same food everyday. I am trying to get back into the habit of eating right. My issues are not eating and then pigging out on starchy foods.
-
I remember when I did this before. I also did the push ups. I think I should do this to get back on track.

This is something like the Mayo Clinic Diet. Why in the world???? I think all the quick fixes should be eliminated off the face of the planet.

I do not do the whole drinking thing. It's not an interest of mine. There are personal reasons behind it, but even without them, I just don't desire it.

I would've told myself: "He's 26 and you're 18. Every word that comes out of his mouth is a lie." "Save up your money and move out as soon as you can. It's not worth staying at home for free when you're really sacrificing more than you should. If he really is your dad, he shouldn't treat you like that. You are stronger…

I'm single, but not desperate. Lol If some amazing guy came around, I'm up for some romance, but I don't plan on stressing out for a relationship. Been single for over 5 years and any date I have been on, well, they were horrible.

I hurt my foot last Thursday and thought for sure I broke it when I was unable to walk on it. I ended up alternating heat and ice and seemed to get better. Here it is a week later and it is still hurting, but not as bad. I would say shoes were an issue, but I think there is a tendon or muscle issue with it. Don't wait till…

I'm stuck. I usually just stick with whole wheat breads and healthier crackers. I like Kavli and Melba Toast. I'll be back to see if anyone has any great suggestions.

I'm beginning to think she isn't the only one full of it!

Haha. This is what I needed to read. I really needed a good laugh. Keep it coming!

Awesome. Thanks!

I fell for my brother's best friend. I have no idea if he knows, but I'm sure he will soon enough. I am scared to death to tell him. My suggestion to you, tell her. She could be just as scared as I am.

Seriously? lol

Feel free to check mine out. I have good and not so great days. I'm a work in progress.
