  • Thanks Ladies. I know as we get *ahem* older it's harder to shift weight but I really do think it's more than that because I can stick to my daily calories & exercise and not lose or even gain. and yes I did gain weight on the pill, even more than I have now, quite a lot actually thinking about it and the weight…
  • I love this!!! No more crappy gas in the tank!!!
  • well you've come to the right place. This site is great for support. You WILL succeed just stick with it x :flowerforyou:
  • I'm not alone then!! I was worried about lack of space as our lounge is quite small but I managed it with my 2 daughters joining in as well! I was advised to log it under aerobic high impact. Found it better than any wii fit game. I could feel which muscles I was using, and it includes arms and a warm down and water…

  • Thanks x I'll take a look
  • this is a new idea to me. Is it supposed to speed up weight loss?? if I go over I always try to go under the next day. Obviously I try to stick to my limits, but if I have a blip & go over then I try to correct it the next day x

  • this is a really common post. Everyone says that MFP puts proteins quite low. So long as it's from good sources I wouldn't worry:flowerforyou:
  • I'm currently 144lbs & Hope to get under 140lbs. 140lbs is my next goal anything under that will be a bonus. I would love to be 133lbs & have been there before but found it a little hard to maintain but Oh did I feel good about myself!! For me if I go under 133lbs I look drawn & a little too skinny. But we're all different…
  • Thanks for all the replies. I did look for trampoline but it didn't come up? I added as aerobic general & a lovely lady inboxed me a chart which went by My weight & how long I 'jumped' a bit like the skipping one. It was almost the same as what I had put in I had a great time bouncing & ended up being joined by all 3 of my…

  • Thanks everyone. Will try the B12. Have heard it's good have changed work level to moderate & I'm making sure I eat all my calories & if I'm hungry I just top up on fruit or something else healthy x Shifted 1lb this week. That's 5lbs in 3 weeks x
  • That my friend would be a miracle!!!! Cheers!:drinker:
  • I posted the same thing when I started & was told by all the lovely members on here not to worry too much so long as it's coming from good sources. I think the protein is set quite low on here & you can adjust it I'm just not sure how! (sorry):embarassed: As long as everything else is under, or where it should be, I…
  • I'm 5'7" and loved being 135lbs although right now I'd settle for 140lbs!! And will probably stick between 135 & 140 as I found 135 really hard to maintain (but I loved how it looked & how I felt) added a pic to my profile as have no clue how to post it here! It's the one of me in the black dress. That's when I felt at my…
  • 15lbs in 2 weeks is a huge loss. You have to expect it to slow up at some point. But it's only been 4 days. Maybe try only weighing in once a week. then you notice a loss more than day by day. Like someone else said maybe change your exercise? Are you eating back the exercise calories? I'm sure you'll get lots of support &…
  • I was diagnosed with PCOS when trying to conceive. I was heavier than I'd ever been before. My GP didn't give me any meds or supplements but she did put me on a strict, healthy diet & told me to exercise at least 3 times a week. The weight did come off & less than a year later I was expecting my first baby. I had 2…
  • I'm a food education presenter to children:smile: And before anyone says anything, it's not what I eat, but how much that has landed me back at MFP!! :embarassed: I don't have that much to lose but I did lose my self control and anyway, I Love it here & don't want to leave!! :smooched: Mwah xxx
  • Thank you :flowerforyou: I lost 3lbs this week, so that's a bonus. Just wish I felt like I had more energy! x
  • Welcome back!! You sound like me, I'm back again!! Good luck x
  • Thanks I know it's not an underlying medical issue as I've been under loads of tests in the last few weeks. I was just wondering if maybe I wasn't eating enough to lose weight. Hard to know what to do for the best really.
  • I've certainly been getting my sleep! I crash before 10pm every night! (poor boyfriend!!) I don't seem to be really shifting my excess weight & was wondering if it's because I'm not eating enough???? I like the idea of destressing & I think I have a yogalates DVD, just never got round to trying it. Thanks x
  • I've probably gained a few pounds just looking at it!!!!! I admire your will power!:flowerforyou:
  • Netty, I was raised to clear my plate too!! LOL I now get up 10 mins earlier & have some cereal, then have a banana mid morning, a healthy sandwich & an apple at lunch then a healthy smaller dinner. I also have taken to carrying healthy snacks in my work bag! We sound very alike!! :flowerforyou:

  • if you use them for convenience try batch cooking & freezing favourite meals. That way you have 'ready meals' in the freezer but you know what's in them. Well worth the little bit of time & effort invested :drinker:
  • Take a salad tub. Lots of salad & lots of fruit. Picnic's can be really healthy. Whenever we have family picnics my sister plates a salad with cold meats or fish, salad & new potatoes. Always looks so nice & not obvious diet food, just healthy!

  • I either - leave enough calories & have dessert, ie fat free yogurt, Muller do chocolatey flavours, virtually fat free ice creams like Skinny cow Or have either a boiled sweet or a toffee, a few calories but they last a while & one is enough to feel like I've had a sweet treat Or low fat/calorie hot chocolate drink like…
  • refined sugar (ie from chocs, fizzy drinks etc) is quick release energy, so not great & no nutritional benefit Natural sugars are better for you and obviously if you're getting them from fruits etc then there are other nutritional benefits that come with them. That's what I think. And just as a note, my protein is VERY low…

  • well I stayed away from the chocolate cake all day!!! Even though twice I went to it & almost caved in!!!!! I had a small piece last night, as I'd promised myself I would & now, thankfully it's been finished up by my partner & kids!! So no more temptation!!!!!
