My work is very demanding & leaves me drained. I am ALWAYS tired & I'm starting to look pale & pasty
I leave home around 7am, usually do an hours drive then I present cooking shows to a couple of hundred primary aged kids all day (prep from 8 til 930. Present from 930 until 230 - or- until 330 (depending on show format) then drive home, after washing up & packing my equipment away & into the car. All with no breaks (I eat lunch standing up as quick as possible!) I literally do not sit down other than driving.
When I get home I start over as I have 3 kids to look after. Needless to say I don't feel much like going for a run or taking a class & I can't afford a gym.
I have upped my work level so now I get 1270cal instead of 1200cal, but it was suggested to me the other day that I may not be eating enough with all the running around I do. I do try & fit in a walk in the week & longer walks at weekends but that's about all I can manage.
Is it possible that one of the reasons I'm so tired is that I'm not getting enough calories?? I stick to the 1270 everyday & sometimes go a tiny bit under.

Any advice gratefully received :flowerforyou:

My suggestion is to first see if your thyroid is working right. From my experience..I was tired all the time as well..doc found out I had hypothyroidism..Been taking meds for about 11 weeks..and I feel awesome..I can get up in the morning..without issue..and I dont feel exhausted at night.

As far as the diet..go see a nutritionist.

    Good Luck..

    Thanks
I know it's not an underlying medical issue as I've been under loads of tests in the last few weeks.
I was just wondering if maybe I wasn't eating enough to lose weight. Hard to know what to do for the best really.

I'd say it's quite possible that a 1200 base is just too low for the amount of energy you expend in a day. I personally find that I lose steam if my calories are that low, though others manage just fine. You may want to try upping your calories by 100-200 and see if that gives you any more energy and if you're still losing...maybe there's a balance point there somewhere!

    Thank you :flowerforyou:

I lost 3lbs this week, so that's a bonus. Just wish I felt like I had more energy! x
