Weights and kick boxing (HIIT)

Abs are made in the kitchen; strength is made at the gym. I think you’re really hungry with your new routine. What works for me is I skip breakfast and eat the bulk of my calories closer to dinner and bedtime. I maintain on 1900 a day as I’m female.

Our gyms have been closed since November. It has been a constant effort to keep active and not eat too much. I have a standard bar and 350 lbs of plates. I also have dumbbells and bands. It has been a real effort to stay motivated!!

Lol! The introvert exerciser ;) in my city, gyms have been closed since November. At this point, I have all my equipment at home - I made many investments in equipment. I may just cancel my membership lol

I think following your plan sounds very smart. Good for you!!

You’re doing amazing and you’re not old!!!

This pandemic has been awful!! Our city gyms have been closed for 6 months now!!! I’ve been buying plates as I get stronger. I started with 200 lbs of plates and now I have 350 lbs - hip thrust progression has been good at home. I hope at 67 I’m like you

You’re an inspiration!! Thanks for sharing.

I have 325 lbs of plates, dumbbells, bands, standard bar and a bench. Also TRX. I’m 50 and in excellent shape. I make time and stick to it. It’s part of my schedule like cleaning, working, making dinner, etc

I can maintain on 1900 cals a day. I’m turning 50 and I lift and am very active. When I was 30, I could maintain 2200 cals a day. Maintenance cals change as you get older and you have to pay attention to it and be wiling to make adjustments based on age and activity level. I gained 4 lbs when I began working from home. I…

Thanks. My genetics help me cheat. I have an ecto meso build - v shape lean and tall - poor glute genetics. But I’ve had to alter eating - 300 less calories a day than 15 years ago for maintenance.

Hey I’m 50 this year and proud of my upkeep and progress. I’m in great shape; hip thrusting 300 lbs and performing squat variations. Maintain upper body too more with push ups and calisthenics (TRX, etc).

Don't be so hard on yourself. A lot of your weight is determined by genetics. I am a turning 50 year old ecto-meso so I'm always pretty lean and muscular without much effort. I will say that binging is something I understand well. I find that when I need to diet for a bit (after breastfeeding, etc.), I only cut my…

Hello! I had a bunch of soft porn friends lol. I deleted them all.

Add me if you like. I’m turning 50 and in target shape. I lift, kick-box and love walking.

Add barbell hip thrusts

Kick boxing is so much fun and I lost so much fat taking it up in addition to my weight training
-
Push it up a hill and get those glutes going. I used to purposely push a stroller through snowy trails just to burn extra calories. People used to look at me like I was nuts. lol

Thanks again for this help. I have a trap bar also. I will try it.
-
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

Thanks so much. I’m going to start over again next week and pay attention to the intensity.
