  • Wow I am jealous! I think it's going to skip us AGAIN! I really hope to wake up to some of the beautiful white stuff in the morning! My soon to be 11 year old has already cancelled school in his head! :noway:
  • I've lost 4 pounds in 5 days and the ONLY change I made was changing how many calories I eat at breakfast. A few days ago Jelybe posted this link : http://health.msn.com/weight-loss/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100230704 When I checked it out I found that my usual 200 calorie breakfast (milk for coffee, 1/2 mini bagel, 1…
  • Thank you so much for pointing this article out! I have lost 4 pounds in 5 days and the ONLY change I made was eating about 450 caloies for breakfast instead of 200. I had started to up on the scale even though I had upped my runs to 6 miles 3 times a week. I was at a loss as to what to do next when I saw your…
  • I can't believe I DID IT! It is 14 degrees here and I just finished doing my run and then coming back and walking the dog. Altogether I've run 4 miles and walked 3 miles today. It is so freaking cold I had just about talked myself out of doing it today but then convinced myself to "just try." Thanks for letting me share!
  • Hi! How old is your daughter? She can help you exercise by holding your feet while you do situps (if old enough) or sitting on your chest while you do crunches if she is little. If you can find a way to get her involved, it will make it more fun for you and she will look at exercise positively as she grows up which is a…
  • Congratulations! You've done well! How much are you trying to lose?
  • Hi! I'm all for this group! I def. need some accountability. Hoping to lose 50 pounds by June. Taking a second anniversary trip and want to look good! Went up over Christmas and have dropped 4 pounds of that, but need to get off the other 8 :grumble: I put on between Halloween and Christmas-Ha! So 46 more…
  • I have TOTALLY lost track of what I was supposed to be doing and have neglected posting and paying attention to what I eat so I am UP! :frown: WAY UP! I could use a buddy!
  • You have my admiration and support! :drinker: I know you can do it! :flowerforyou: You have been so encouraging to all of us Black Team members and are a great leader. I will put forth extra effort on my part and mentally walk the path with you this weekend and try to break through my plateau as well!
  • Ok I'm game too! I've reworked my workout schedule by upping my mileage to walk 2/run 4 miles on M/W/F and increased my aerobic on T/TH/S to an hour so the only thing left is to come down hard on the 1200. My goal this week is to get the water weight off that I gained last week :grumble: when I was sick …
  • Jackeh you are not alone! I have 3 children ages 23, 20 and 10. DO NOT SPANK! :noway: It really doesn't do any good. As you said previously he is only 1 1/2 and it is already starting to lose its effectiveness. What are you going to do when he is 5 or 10 or 15? When he is bigger and stronger than you? We had…
  • Congratulations !:drinker: You run a lot faster that I do. I'm happy with my 11:30 /mile average on my 4 miles. I run 12-14 miles a week and have been running now for about 3 years. The ups and downs, injuries, setbacks are all worth it when you crash through a barrier like you did! Congrats again! :drinker:
  • I just joined the Black team today and I am so excited to part of this group! I promise to work really hard to lose this week so I can have a stellar weigh-in next Wednesday!
  • Huge Huge Harry Potter fan! We host big Harry Potter Halloween parties and everyone dresses as a HP character. My favorite character to dress up as is Professor Minerva McGonagall. Thought it might inspire me to do a little magic and shed some weight! :drinker:
  • :drinker: :flowerforyou: Congratulations! You are such an incredible motivation! I really need to be reminded sometimes that it can be done and it is worth doing! Thank you ! and Congrats again!
  • Its taken me 2 years to lose the weight that I have lost. If I concentrate on how much more I need to lose (40), I get REALLY depressed and unmotivated. Sometimes when that happens I look at some of the people on this website who have lost so much more (99 lbs, etc.) and it gives me a boost. If they can do it, then I can…
  • I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. May you find comfort in each other.
  • I just made 1st Dan in TKD in January and am also taking Kali (stick fighting) at my school and enjoyed a sword seminar recently that my school hosted. Getting with the right school was the key for me. I started kickboxing 4 years ago at the TKD school I joined. As I got better at kickboxing I added more kickboxing classes…
  • Thank you both! I am taking your advice and am increasing both water and exercise! I'll let you know how it goes! Thank you SO much for your support! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Been 196.5 for so long thought I was going to be there FOREVER but dropped a pound and a half this morning!!!!! Unfortunately I am attending a five course wine tasting dinner tonight so I probably won't see 195 again for awhile but YEAH! It's there NOW!!!!
  • I run 4 miles on Tuesdays and 4 on Fridays but only 2 on Sundays when my youngest runs with me. I walk an average of 10 miles/week. My goal is to increase my mileage so that I average 5 miles/day combining both walking and running. It gets a whole lot trickier to do this as the humidity and heat kick in here in the South!
  • I know how you feel. Just got my license renewed yesterday as I am turning 50! and one of the other ladies joked that no matter how they take your picture, it always makes you look "older and fatter". Yeah, made my day. I am sure that your birthday is important to your family and that the day just got away from them before…
  • Down another pound and a half !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I hated that they sent Jerry home! I thought they should have sent Amy. Jerry looked great in the end though. Down to 209 - WOW! My 9 year old and I watch the show. He was getting a little chubby last year and since then, we have done a lot more running and I've tried really hard to help him make healthier food choices.
  • Good idea! 2/20/2006 220.0 8/27/2007 207.5 9/25/2007 202.5 Down by 5 more pounds! 45 to go!
  • I don't know about everybody else but I usually weigh more Monday morning than I did the Friday before. The weekends are just diet killers for me. But this weekend I tried really hard and stayed away from the 2nd and 3rd slice of pizza and tried to be really concious of what I was eating when we went out. So…
  • Congratulations!!! I have also been here about a month but have only lost 4 pounds. I lost those the first 10 days and haven't lost any since BUT ... this morning I found that I AM IN MY SKINN|Y JEANS!!!! So maybe all this exercise is good for something!
  • Thank you to you both! I've been stuck at this weight for 2 weeks and I guess I'm getting frustrated waiting to lose some more. I had previously talked to my Doctor and he felt that I was doing enough exercise (about 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day now) but to keep to 1200 calories. I didn't ask if that included the amount earned…
  • Hi! I know you probably have seen this asked before so I am picking on you- I've been on this site about 4 weeks and I excercise between 400-800 calories that get added to my food "bank". When I eat to this new total (1200+400), I don't seem to lose any weight but if I eat to the 1200 original total, I do seem to lose…
  • The elasticity of your skin is determined by a variety of things but age is a dominant factor. You at 20, are very lucky in that regard. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to help your body retain that elasticity. Push ups are very good to strengthen your pectoral muscle that supports the breast.. Another really good…
