Hi my name is Judy and I'm 64. I have been a yo yo dieter my whole life. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

That review WalkingAlong was for the basis band not the basis peak.

I have the fitbit one also and just got an e-mail on the new fitbits coming out and will see what people think of it vrs. the Basis Peak. Can't wait!

I bought mine at walmart .. it is a Health o Meter and was only around $35.00. It gives you your %'s of fats, water and bmi. Best of luck with your journey. :-)

Nothing is free, everything has calories and you are just kidding yourself and you don't need a fancy phone ... write it down for later if you can't log it right away.

I weigh and measure everything, it is a real eye opener, I also have a fitbit and that helps me be more active. It really does take a while to get everything figured out.
-
Your fitbit steps and stairs are on your fitbit page .. it doesn't show on MFP.

I also have done WW many times and lost weight over and over, just couldn't keep it off. I didn't like that WW changed the program constantly, wanted you to buy all new materials and kept raising the monthly price..way to expensive. I really like this site because you can eat normal food and people on here are so helpful.…

My neighbor just gave me a zucchini so looks like I now have a plan. Thanks for the idea.

I have read on this site of Leslie Sansone and her Walk Away The Pounds for Beginners videos. There are some free ones on you tube or you can buy them at Wal-mart or online.

Thanks everyone for your input. :-)

I think misunderstood what the 2345 meant. On my fitbit page it is in the circle of calories burned, but I never reach that goal. My average tdee for 3 weeks is 1949.

Thank you for your help.

Walmart is very good about letting you return things, so take it back. I bought mine from weight watchers a few years ago and it is really accurate, but I really can't remember how much I paid for it. Have you checked out Amazon or other online sites?

I'm very glad that I have found this group. I never thought to question my Dr. on my thyroid test. After reading these threads I now realize that I may need more testing. I had blood work done several months ago and my TSH, 3 rd GEN results are 1.090 and I am on 100 MCG of Levothyroxine. I am losing some weight from…

I thought this my be helpful for you. My scale has both ounces or grams so when I weigh my food I write down both on a piece of paper then when I go into the food base I can find it in ounces or grams.

I started to weigh everything that is not a liquid because I measured out my Quaker Oats to a level 1/2 cup then weighed it and was surprised to find out that the 40g are about 2 tablespoons less that a 1/2 cup. I wondered how many other things are off like that and can effect our weight loss.

The gym I joined has a trainer for free and is a great help, ask where you go and see if there is one available where you go. This journey may be very hard at times but with all the help from people on this site I know you will make it!

I have a Schwinn and I really like it, I bought it at ****s. You sit down with your legs stretched out in front of you and you have a back on the seat to support your back.
-
I have a recumbent bike .. you sit down on it and your legs are out in front of you instead of a regular bike. I bought it because it is easier on my back. Best of luck to you. :-)

I just read an article about using measuring spoons and cups. I always use a knife to scrape off extra but did you know that some servings are not really as stated? Take Quaker Oats .. it states that a serving is a 1/2 cup or 40 g. I weighed it and a level 1/2 cup weighs out at 52g. That is a 1 1/2 tablespoon difference,…

I too am an emotional eater, I lost my Father to cancer and then lost my Mother and Sister 25 years ago at the hands of my Sister's boyfriend. I had lost 60 lbs but when the 2 men came up for parole for one of the murders we wrote letters and it just brought that night back so vividly I went into a deep depression and…

Good evening ladies, I was a couch potato today so I could ice my knee ( I think I have a pulled hamstring ) and read something I thought was interesting. I have always weighed and measured my food and made sure it was level and thought I did a pretty good job. I was surprised when I used the half cup to measure my oats…

Good evening Ladies, Had a busy day today going to the gym and logging 50 minutes on the bike, doing weights for arms and back. My daughter who is 40 and single goes with me to work out, she is 30 lbs overweight. Then it was off to take her flower and mulch shopping and unloading it all onto her porch. Tomorrow we are…

Feel free to add me also ... lost 60 lbs on WW and put it all back on so I can so relate.
