Thanks @acpgee , the silken tofu recipes look interesting and are new to me. I will have to experiment! @rosebarnalice - Using hummus is a great idea since I usually have it in the fridge anyway.

How do you make a latte with only 15 calories? Lattes are my favourite but mine seem to be closer to 100 calories - I'd love a 15 calorie version!

Right?! I would hate to cheat myself out of the precious potato! Thank you - I will definitely bookmark that site. Once I copy and pasted an entry from the SR Legacy list into the MyFitnessPal search it came right up. I need to go and check the meat packaging though since as you mention there are so many options depending…

I take a MegaFood Women Over 40 Multi vitamin and mineral supplement daily when I’m eating in a calorie deficit. I like these because I never feel nauseous after taking them whereas I experienced this with some other brands.

I wish I could love black coffee! I allocate around 200 calories for skim milk in my coffee daily. I generally prefer eating my calories to drinking them but I just don't enjoy black coffee as much. I did drink it black for a few years but went back to adding milk because I just enjoyed it more that way. I was just…

The Susanna Yabar videos look fun. I enjoy these short 5-10 minutes videos since I can squeeze them in throughout the day and it's good break from sitting working at my computer all day. I need to spend some time playing around with youtube functionality - I think creating playlists would really help me since I was having…

@whoami67 Yes, the HASfit videos are great, however I was specifically looking for something with a free program that puts the videos into order and tells you which to do together/on which days. That seems to be a upgrade/paid feature for the HASfit videos.

Update - after starting a few of these videos it turns out my current fitness level is even more beginner than I thought! A lot of that is due to my recovering knee and my wrist tendonitis which has flared up due to working from home. The latter makes it really hard to do anything that requires a push up position with the…

Definitely get checked out by a doctor. Over the years I've attempted Couch-25K three different times and each time although I didn't feel I was pushing myself I ended up with plantar fasciitis and/or shin splints after the first week and had to stop. If people are carrying extra weight or have a low level of fitness (I…

@tgillies003 Turns out I already had Fiton installed on my phone :D I didn't realise it had programs too. Thanks @swiftgirlm I downloaded the NTC app and that Kick Off program looks awesome and I would definitely never have found that on my own. Thanks everyone for these suggestions! I'm clearing a space to workout this…

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for. The Fitness Blender videos I clicked on look good and they have various programs to choose from but I think I'll try the summer time fine 2.0 since each video has the day number which keeps it simple! and it's free.

I boil eggs the same way each time, on the stove starting from cold water. Some times the eggs peel perfectly and other times are just awful. Since I don't vary the cooking it must just depend on the eggs. I haven't paid enough attention to how old they are. After reading raves on the internet I did "boil" eggs in my…

I really miss the public swimming pool. I have a knee injury and have put back on weight that I previously lost. I'm lost as to what to do with swimming no longer an option.

I just recently noticed that Amazon Prime Video includes a large selection of exercise and fitness workouts free with Prime membership. I haven't looked through them all yet so don't have any specific recommendations. You can filter by type such as cardio, strength, yoga etc. I know there are a lot on Youtube as well but I…

Wow, fantastic! Thanks for posting a follow up. I find the posts about maintained weight loss very inspiring since that is something I find tougher than the initial weight loss.

So glad I found this thread. I've let my late night snacking become a habit and is the cause of my recent plateau. I will update tomorrow!

Yes, this! I just discovered the Dave's Killer Bread English Muffins last week. So good. I've been toasting them and putting a banana on top with a teaspoon flaxseed, and maple syrup drizzled over the top for about 250 calories depending on the size of banana.

200 days of food logging!
-
Just 1lb away from being in the healthy BMI range but it feels like it's taking forever to get there! Hoping to make it by my next weekly weigh in.
-
Lose 2.3lbs by the end of January so I'll have lost 50lbs total in 6 months.

I went on holiday for 2 weeks back to my home country and managed to eat my favourite foods without going mad and eating all the things (like I usually do). Logged throughout and kept to a deficit most days with a few treat days closer to maintenance.

Today is my 100th day of logging food and exercise!

Black beans slow cooked in the crockpot with smoked ham hocks and a side of rice.

Also agree. I've started keeping a salad bowl in my desk drawer at work which I empty my mason jar salad into. I like the mason jars since I prep in advance for the week and they're easy to fit in my bag, but too deep to eat from directly.

I find that the way the blades are positioned and the width of the bottom of the jug makes it less effective with small amounts, additionally it seems with a single serve that I leave half the contents stuck to the sides or bottom of the jug. For small servings I find my immersions blender is usually easier and I can often…

I have a Vitamix and it is great but I find it's not good for single or small portions. I end up using my immersion blender more often.
