I'm a nurse and I find eating a big breakfast before work and then fast for my shift (I never get a break anyway) and then eat healthy dinner when I get home.

No I work on the wards and we are not allowed anything below elbow, I have a fob watch with a second hand etc. What is the fitbit called which can be attached to the bra so I can search for it online? Thanks for all your replies.

I just had a 4 week plateau after losing 34lbs. I know how frustrating this feels. I stuck to my usual calories, however I had a night out (drank alcohol) and went over my calories which seemed to have busted me through it and I lost 5lbs over the course of the next week. This is so true, I beat myself up when I compare myself to other peoples weight losses. I've lost 2 and a half stone (as of this morning) since May 2014. Seeing that pound come off this morning after 3-4 weeks of staying the same makes me one happy girl! (I'm 5 foot 1)

Thanks for the reply and the congratulations :) I have just recalculated and my BMR is 1380 and my TDEE is 1910. I am basically eating at my BMR and have done all the way through this process. If I eat any more than this I know I will put on weight. Should I lower my calories? I've no idea how to kickstart this weight loss…

Thanks for the replies, I'm not actually doing this, it was purely for hypothetical purposes wondering if the weight loss would be affected by eating the same amount if calories in fast food (fried, fat).

Thanks guys, I put on 10lb when I was away for a week, didn't even think that was possible!! I have lost 7lbs of that in 2 weeks, just another 3 to go but been stuck on same number for afew days. Frustrationnnnnnn!

I snack in the evening too. I leave enough calories to do this but I find low calorie crisps the best (crisps are my weakness!) so I just sit there sucking on some quavers for 88 calories!

I weigh every day, so since yesterday 3lb loss. If it is because of dehydration, will I see it go back on tomorrow? I'm not sure whether to log it on my ticker....

Thank you for the replies. This is definitely a rare thing for me but last time I did it (I drank over my calories) I put on 3lb which took me 2 weeks to get off again. I'm dreading that will happen again.......but sometimes you have to go out and have fun because what is the point in living.........DILEMMA.

Totally been here. I don't like people noticing. It makes me feel really paranoid and I don't know what to say back especially when it is my family. I know they mean well but I am so embarrassed by how fat I had got it brings it all back with every compliment.
