  • Sometimes it's as low as 8% or 20 grams, this week was almost double because I tried some chicken and beef. I didn't do well this week so I'll go back to not eating it.
  • Good luck with your meet!
  • My husband does Keto. He's lost quite a bit on it. I'm totally the opposite though so cooking is not fun! There's a good low carb group here on MFP and some on Facebook. I love getting recipe ideas from the groups.
  • Thank you! That's what I needed to hear because besides walking (I love to walk, it relaxes me) I hate cardio!
  • CRZYFTM thanks for the recipe for the cheesecake! I made it today for our family dinner and everybody loved them!
  • This was breakfast and lunch. My hubby's actually as I can't do a lot of cheese. It looks gross but it was amazing. I made breakfast sausage patties but I left some of the meat minced and cooked it like that (I used Just Like Sugar brown to get that sweet maple flavour, lots of onion, garlic, sage, salt and pepper to…
  • So that was 1/2 cup almond flour and the 1/2 cup of coconut flour? Or did you swap coconut for the almond? I think I will make these for mothers day. :) Thanks for the recipe.
  • OMG so many delicious ideas! I would post a pic of our lunch but I forgot how to on my phone. I seriously need to make those cheese tacos!
  • I love all the progress photos, you all are doing great! Are you lifting? I need to get back into it as I can't lose my tummy.
  • Most people I know that did keto or Adkins diets have gained it all back in a pretty short time. My hubby did a Keto diet and lost 55lbs then took about 7 months of and ate whatever he wanted and gained 25 lbs back. He did it again and lost more again. He never counted calories though. I eat mainly paleo because I have…
  • My hubby and I went back to Cancun and our friends put our pictures up from our trip 5 years ago in our room as a surprise. My husband and I couldn't believe how much weight I'd lost since then and in that time I had my son so I was about 10 lbs heavier than this before picture when I started MFP. Here's 5 years before and…
  • Way to go! I personally find this is the best way to lose weight and keep it off because you learn what you're actually putting into your mouth. Keep up the good work!
  • Wow, you look amazing! You did before too. :-) Just curious when I see people wear clothes that still seem to fit well. Is the dress just super stretchy or did you clip it in the back? It looks like it was made to fit you in all the pics, looks great!
  • It looks like you lost more than 22lbs! Way to go!
  • Wow, you look amazing! Good for you!
  • It can to a small degree. I was diagnosed with celiac disease and since I've learned about cross contamination in the summer I've lost about 2 inches all over each area. I do think my belly went down a bit because of inflammation, but there's still a lot of fat.
  • When I was breastfeeding I ate at least 2,000 calories a day. I didn't eat my exercise calories back either. BUT my son was about 9 months when I started, maybe 11 months... There's also breastfeeding calories for logging. You can use what MFP comes up with and add in breastfeeding calories like you would food. I even have…
  • Get sent to a GI specialist and have them test for celiac disease. Those were my symptoms. Even after going gluten free because I didn't understand how bad cross contamination was. You need to be eating gluten daily for a month or more for accurate results. Also, a biopsy is really the best way to get diagnosed. They were…
  • This is what I was told by my GI specialist, but I can't remember her exact words. Three doctors insisted I had ulcers and possible HP. I knew I didn't, I thought it was just my gallbladder. Turns out it was celiac disease.
  • Ladies, incredible results! I've been watching this thread for years and I love it. I started SL 5x5 a couple years ago but stopped because of horrible neck and hip pain. I had it before lifting but it grew worse when lifting. This past spring I found out the cause of my inflammation and pain is mostly caused by food…
  • You look amazing, way to go! It has taken me over three years to lose almost 40lbs. I haven't lost weight in months but I've lost inches. I'm almost there. I don't really care about the scale anymore, just toning. I've never heard of fitnessblender before. I'll have to check that out!
  • Maybe the OP has links, but I know it effects the way you break down and digest your food. Some people have weight loss and some weight gain. It has to do with the stomach acid and actually can be the cause of ulcers. I don't know a lot about it but I researched it when my doctor thought I had it or ulcers.
  • Wonderful! It stinks that you were sick so long before finding out though. I was very sick but upper stomach and gallbladder. I had pain and nausea on and off for years when I ate. They did a biopsy and endo to check for HP but it was negative. I was diagnosed with celiac disease via the biopsy though. I lost haven't lost…
  • Wow you look amazing! Much younger too. Way to go!
  • I didn't start up with MFP until my little guy was almost 1 year and he was eating a lot by that point. I kept my calories at 2,000 (which included either a walk or a fast routine like 30 day shred). I lost 0.5 lbs a week. It took a while but I lost. If I started when he was younger I would have eaten more. You don't want…
  • I am 147 and 5'4" and wear size 6-8 pants. About 10-12 years ago when I wore a size 7/8 I think I was 135-145. I don't remember wearing 6 except when I was smaller like 120-130 lbs. But I have a old pair of size 8 jeans that really have no stretch, old school style. They fit. They are tighter around my middle though…
  • I personally don't like the recipe builder on MFP unless it's something where I have the same amount each time. I have a book with recipes I make with the macros for each ingredient. I weigh everything in grams raw then I weigh the final recipe cooked. I add all the macros up individually and then divide by the amount of…
  • I tend to gain 4-6lbs whenever I start a new workout routine. It's just water weight but it does make things go slower. I also gain 2-4lbs right before my cycle starts and I stay up for a week sometimes. My metabolism is insanely slow, like a snail. I eat 1200 calories a day and I only lose 0.25-0.50 lb per week. It's so…
  • Wow, way to go! That's wonderful progress. Not just with your weight but your health. :-)
