I know our box kept asking people - but I think they only got a few takers. I did not sign up - but I may do them just to see where I stand. Since I'm having some crossfit 2nd thoughts. However 7 minutes of burpees doesn't sound ... fun.

If you go through the Headquarters website for crossfit they have the pink and white ones. Which is where I'm at right now ... love pink ...

Todays WOD was 30 second sets - 3 chin ups and then back squats. You were SUPPOSED to get to 100. I did RX'd weight (55#) but had to use a band for my chin ups. I only made it to 35 reps (one of the last ones finished) ... I guess I should've just used a girls bar (30#) to make the 100 ... but I don't feel that I would've…

500m row then 10, 20, 30 of Box Jumps, Dead Lifts (95#), and ab mat sit ups. 15:16 (stopped to fix my ipod part way through) Maybe had I warmed up I would've shaved some time off but it was open gym and I wasn't worried.

While I was at work the other night I took a stack of index cards and searched other boxes websites for WODS. If I found some that I liked I wrote them on the card ... COMPLETELY FREE!! I'm stoked to use them and get some great crossfit WODs done. =)

There are different types of pain - which you're now generalizing about. People deal with and feel pain differently. Just because you had a harder workout and are sore doesn't mean it's bad for you. It's better then shin splints from running, which if improperly cared for could do more damage in the big picture.

The internet doesn't lie, it only posts facts - when you find 5 videos on youtube of poor form or someone complaining about a box you can't automatically think it's all boxes or all people who do crossfit. FutureSkinny pretty much nailed it - quit using the smith machine all together =) I lift alone as well, and usually in the same boat as you with not really wanting to ask people. When you're in a "globo gym" a lot of times they frown upon you "dropping weights" ... which is hard for me because at crossfit we drop them…
