  • I'm just over 5'7'' and weigh 150. The lowest I've ever been is 140. So I'm aiming for 145. I'm not too concerned about weight, I'm broad shouldered, thick waist of 31 and hips 39. So I'm going to concentrate on inch loss. I know its mainly my diet as I do run, walk, attend kettle bells and circuit training. I carry weight…
  • Amazing!!!!
  • Congratulations! You look great! And your weight loss journey method seems perfectly reasonable/ sensible. A great share!
  • She won't be in a factory mass producing the rubbish that gets churned out for supermarkets, even if she was, she is not the problem, the food industry is! Some might say its an art. I would have a taste of her samples!! Wish her well. It might lead to bigger better things for her! If she bought a vineyard would she be…
  • You look amazing! Hard work pays off!
  • Don't be too hard on yourself! I think you've outlined what it could have been. You've lost a lot of weight previous weeks, 5,4,3 lbs, maybe your body is adjusting somehow..some of that weight might be muscle as you said.
  • I'm not new but back on here after having a baby 3 weeks ago. Feel free to add me and anyone else too, I'm jumping on the bandwagon too, I need some support and motivation. Can't exercise for while ( 3rs c section) so its slow walking at the moment to build up, plus calorie counting. I'll be logged on daily!
  • Yes! You look amazing. People don't notice things like we do ourselves,we tend to magnify our worst features. Get out there and flaunt your great shape!
  • Although logging food and exercise might work for an adult it may put pressure on a younger person. It might make the situation spiral -pressure, guilt and also single him out from his siblings. I would keep an eye on him, stop buying junk. There might also be another reason why he's sneaking and eating -an issue or…
  • Unrecognisable from first photo...amazing job! What a lovely family -you enjoy it as the healthy you ;-)
  • You have done well losing 20lbs already. Great job. Was this a steady loss? I would try and persevere with the running if you can cope with the weather. Running is great for fat loss. Is there a different swimming pool you can go to? Are evening sessions not possible? Can you do any cardio work at home indoors, skipping…
  • Porridge with raisins or two boiled eggs ;-)

  • We love camping! Have to wait until at least May to camp in UK! Corn on the cob, halloumi cheese (not so healthy!), vegetable kebabs on skewers, salmon wrapped in foil! Hmm! Of course, the occasional burger and high % meat content sausage!
  • Hi all, I'm 31 weeks pregnant now, stopped all my running and cycling when I found out a I wanted to be cautious. Not been going too crazy with the food, too busy sleeping! Housework is getting more difficult as my bump increases, emptying the washing machine and walking up stairs gets me puffed! I did go swimming last…
  • FT7 was a great buy for me! Got it from amazon, not sure of UK shops that you can check them out. Polar's own website is informative. Bite the bullet, you won't regret it!! Though sometimes your calorie burn is lower than MFP's own guessimate! Good luck!
  • Great job, you're doing so well!!
  • Fage 0% Greek yoghurt with fresh blueberries or frozen summer fruits!! Hmm! And I eat more poached eggs too!!
  • End of October, so it'll be in the rain, fog, hail etc! My friend ran it in 4 hours 20.. Under 5 hours will be my goal! And yes Wales is hilly, it's route takes you through Snowdonia National Park, which happens to have the highest mountain in both England and Wales! Obviously we don't go UP that, just close by!! ;-)
  • I think its got something to do with aerobic and anaerobic exercise -when the heart rate is high the body has to switch to get the blood pumping quicker. I think staying longer in the 'fat burning' zone ( which is lower heart rate) is better and less likely to lead to injury or feeling completely knackered!!, though if…
  • Jillian's banish fat/ boost metabolism is good for a bit of variety! It's kickboxing based with 7 circuits that you can dip into or just do the 40 min programme, I burn over 300 cals when I do the whole DVD. There are no weights used.
  • I was happily 5 lbs lighter on my analogue scales, they never seemed to move!! then I got the digital scales out and I had a nasty fright too, but the numbers are coming back down ;-), the trouble with digital scales is they are sooo sensitive, and if it works in your favour that's great, but if not..it can get you down!!…
  • Go for it, you are young and in need of a confidence boost, definitely go for it! Those early college days are precious, enjoy them, and if you need to put more effort into your appearance to boost yourself then just do it! Congratulate yourself on how well you have done so far, and don't fee guilty! Best of luck xx
  • I agree, it's a good buy, well worth it!

  • Great burn! I have the polar FT7, a recent purchase, and it's just great! :-), good luck with it as a helpful and incentive tool for exercising!
  • You need to refuel if you're exercising,so if you're hungry , then eat at least half of those extra calories, listen to your body, plus you are losing, and at a steady rate anyway. If you lose too quickly then it won't be mainly fat but muscle loss too. Are you including strength/ weight training?
  • I must be quite fit then!!!!! ;-), trying to increase my metabolism with some more strength training as I focus too much on cardio! Yes it is good for fitness level indicators, I'm alway quite pleased when my max heart rate is lower when I hit the hills, indicates an improvement.
  • I got mine about 6 weeks ago and I love it! It's such an incentive and makes you push harder on cardio as you can see your effort levels. The only down side for me was that all the gym machines and MFP calories burned are way out for me! I must have a sluggish metabolism because I have ti really work it to see big cals…
  • I'm doing a half in May, it's the only one I do each year! Have a 10 k race this Sunday :-), running is just great to do!
  • When I give blood it takes me about a week to recover in terms of my strength and stamina. Go easy on yourself, rest up. Eat some iron rich foods. Congratulate yourself on doing good for others!
