How's everyone doing? I have my longest run if the season, so far, in the morning. 14 miles and I'm heading to bed extra early.

Thanks! Ultramarathons? What's the distance on those?
-
I attended my first run with the Jeff Galloway group in my area. I plan to run with them every Saturday for my long runs. * What made you all decide to start running? * 4For veterans include a few tips for new runners. * For new runners what would you like to know from the veterans? Thanks for reading. Thanks for posting.

really? That is awesome. What does your training schedule look like? What made you decide to train for a ironman?
-
Congrats!!! I agree with another commenter, you look great and happy.

Are you all interested in starting a weekly thread for check in? Or even to share tips? We have some seasoned runners and some newbies. I think it would be nice to share information about the different races as well. I may help someone select their next race. Let me know. I think it would be great!

I am doing the Jeff Galloway program as well. Are you training with one of his groups?
-
Good luck! Rest up and most importantly have fun! When is the half marathon?
-
4 half marathons between now and January? Nice...

I am doing a smaller race in the area. I wanted a relatively flat course. Keep me posted. My longest run to date was 15 miles. Thus, I am still trying to wrap my head around 26.1. :noway:

Cool. I decided to suck it up.

I totally cheat to get my veggies in...I have salads and green smoothies. I can get in at least a cup or two of spinach in and not taste it.
-
I suggest nuts, beans, lentils, and protein powder. But many veggies have high protein--broccoli, spinach, and sone others. Good luck!

Congrats!!!! You look great. It is definitely motivational. Thanks for sharing.

Great find. I spotted my next Sunday dessert.

I am currently doing C25k with a friend. She is a new runner so we are focusing on time not distance.

Hello Everyone, I did my Fit Test yesterday. Switch Kicks ... 61 Power Jacks ... 44 Power Knees ... 81 Power Jumps ... 24 Globe Jumps ... 5 Push-up Jacks ... 10 Low Plank Oblique ... 23 Today I did Plyometric Cardio Circuit and went for a run/walk for 5.5 miles with my running group. I'm exhausted...
-
Have you considered doing the C25k? It's a great program for beginners.
-
Thank you all for responding. I will add you as friends here. I look forward to the journey.
-
That's awesome! It gives me motivation.
-
Sure and thanks. I hate that I do it in spurts. But I've finally become fed up. When I'm ready to move...I move.
-
Good luck to you. I started that program almost 5 years ago and I'm still running.
-
Good luck! I love that plan.

My goals are: (1) to complete the first week of Insanity, (2) run 3 days with my running group and (3) stay within my calorie limits.

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the Message Board but I'm starting Insanity tomorrow with the Fit Test. I'd love to join you all if it's not too late. Thanks!
