  • I will be starting Ripped in 30 when I finish shred too!
  • Great job! It's awesome to see success to give the rest of us with hashi's hope that with hard work it's doable! Keep up busting through those cals with all that demo!
  • Goodluck! I have 4 days left on L2 and CANNOT WAIT to be done with it! I have heard the same thing about L3 and that it is when you start to see the most results!
  • I personally picked up where I left off. Some people I have seen take regular rest days (the weekend or 1/2 other days during the week). I don't think there's anything wrong with doing that- better to listen to your body if it needs rest than push yourself to the point of possible injury or exhaustion. I could see starting…
  • I'm on day 16 of the 30ds. Hating level 2 but glad to be more than halfway there!
  • I agree with others- if it fits within my daily goal I'll let myself have something. Otherwise I'll pop a piece of gum, try to fill up on water or green tea, or distract myself. Alot of times I'll want something just because I saw it, so taking my mind off it will help.
  • Starting 30 day shred was the first working out I did after mainly elliptical on and off for awhile, so day 1 killed my muscles. In that good "oh yeah something is changing" way, but killed nonetheless. I took a day or 2 off and was able to finish out the rest of level 1 with no problem and no more break days. Level 2...I…
  • It's not the valley- but on the eastside (Hollywood) there's Runyon which is always a good spot and they have a steep trail or a longer, gradual trail.
  • Hi! I'm Cristina. I live in Los Feliz. I moved out to Huntington Beach from NY a little over 3 years ago and up to LA about a year and a half ago.
  • Awesome! I am half way done and currently hating level 2 haha.
  • Thanks so much for you input! I definitely think strengthening is part of the issue- I notice when I do lunges that my right leg (the one my knee pain has been worse) that my quad is super weak and wobbly. I just restarted 30 day shred and I am feeling good so far. I got new sneakers meant for overpronation (my ankle rolls…

  • Thank you for the advice. I have read alot about hashi and gluten intolerance. My doctor recommended not eliminating gluten until he had tested for an allergy/celiacs but it can't hurt to try and see how I feel. Just the other day I came across what I think may be to blame- overpronation. I role my ankle when I walk so…

  • I think it is hashi related (my knees have bothered me with regular use before I was exercising more) and aggravated by exercise as it has gotten worse/more frequent since I have been doing higher impact circuit training/aerobics (30 day shred). I am going to pick up chondroitin/glucosomine tomorrow - it seems like alot of…

  • I really wish there was some way to follow/subscribe to a post so you are notified when others respond to a board you've posted on. Anway- today was the worst day so far for my knee pain after 30ds. Yesterday I woke up with knee pain but after running some errands/getting moving it had subsided for the most part and I was…
  • I am also doing the 30 day shred. I take Vit D and sub-lingual B complex. I might try out sellenium and iron. The doctor is testing me next for carnatine and cortisol levels since, despite my TSH being hyper, I still have all hypo symptoms. Does anyone else have joint pain, especially while working out? I am on day 3 level…
  • I have hashi too. It definitely is a bummer as far as trying to lose weight goes. As others mentioned, it has been something I constantly have to stay on top of or I gain like crazy. I lost 40 pounds before my wedding in September and in the 18 days between my wedding + honeymoon till I went to my endo I gained 10 pounds…
  • Started L2 today. For me it was a big change from L1 in terms of stamina for sure. But that feels good at the same time to know I am working hard and hopefully by the end of L2 I'll be in the groove just in time to switch to L3! (; Also- Just wondering if anyone modifies the plank exercises? I have a wrist injury (car…

  • The bicycle crunches kill me!

  • Hi! I'm Cristina. Hashimoto's diagnosis since 2007. Definitely has been a constant frustration with trying to lose weight, manage low energy, etc. Currently not working so seeing an endo every few months at a clinic who seems to have a pretty good grip on hashi's (compared to others I've been to who wouldn't even consider…
  • My goal is to do 30 days in a row of good eating and shredding. I probably have never in my life done 30 days of not screwing up so hopefully having a short-term goal like completing the 30DS will help.

  • I did day 3 today and thankfully my legs aren't made of jelly anymore like after day 1. I do the modified push-ups too-- my wrist is still jacked up from a car accident/surgeries a few years ago and can not handle my body weight. Maybe after I get down a few pounds haha. Are you guys going to try 30 consecutive days or do…

  • Just finished day 3 and feeling good! For whatever reason day 1 was a killer for muscle soreness the next few days, day 2 I felt fine after, and today I felt winded way quicker. I guess all part of building up endurance and rather than noticing soreness I notice tiredness more. I have to agree- those bicycle crunches at…

  • Just started (day 2 L1) - so I will finish a couple of days behind the official March end date. I took before pictures and will hopefully have the guts (or lack of guts I guess) to share at the end of the 30 days. No measurements yet since my only tape measure is the metal kind at the moment.
  • I started last week and then took a few days break after getting my roots done and not being able to wash my hair (plus it was convenient timing since I could barely get up and down stairs for 3 days). But I started up again today and made my calendar into a 30 day countdown and stuck it on the fridge. I had lost about 45…
