I had my one-on-one with my supervisor yesterday, and her chairs have fairly high armrests. I noticed when I sat in one that my whole body, plus my arms, fit between the armrests. That was super weird and rather a small thing to notice, but it was awesome nevertheless!

These are all fun and great mini-goals: best wishes to everyone! Mine is to be the lowest weight I've been since adulthood. I was there for literally a nanosecond two years ago; like, I held my balance just right on the scale and called it a victory! When I get there this time, (only 13 lbs away!), it will be for real and…

Your weight loss journey gives me hope! You're beautiful and your weight loss has enhanced that beauty. Congratulations on such superb success!

Just for today I will: Eat under my calorie and carb goal Not drink any calories Golf while pulling my clubs Finish at least two loads of laundry

Mine is truly mini because it's literally for today! Big day today at work with several catered meals, including a huge gala tonight. Mini goal: pass on the bread and desserts! (Notice I didn't say I'd pass on the wine... hahaha.)

I managed to achieve my weekend mini goals, but am feeling the need to motivate myself through what will be a ridiculous week of potential food temptations. I have no less than five events that revolve around food. The most worriesome is a sit-down dinner; I want to enjoy it but not go nuts. Mini goal through Saturday:…

These thoughts have come to my mind, too. For me, though, I've realized that it's the confidence and peacefulness I have within myself that impacts the positive reactions in others the most. One of the reasons I was 320 pounds (there were certainly many reasons) was because I was so very, very unhappy with myself and how…

This thread is very motivating; thank you for starting it! Last time I posted a mini-goal, I was able to really hone in on that and was successful. So, posting again to see if I can do that again. My mini-goal is to have a successful four days--through the weekend. I will stay under 1,800 cals, 40 grams of carbs and stop…

I've only been doing it for three days and I've already learned so much about my body and how I've been misreading/ignoring it's cues about hunger and satiety. Also, I've not had one episode of low blood sugar (I'm combining this with a no sugar intake). At first blush, I find this methodology amazing! Will I lose weight?…

1) I haven't had sugar in more than three weeks and a colleague brought me an iced tea on her way in from an appointment: I took a sip and it was sweet tea! My heavens it was CRAZY sweet. I'm finding it so interesting how my taste buds are so much more receptive. 2) Recognizing true hunger for the first time in my adult…

For me, it's the realization that I've been addicted to the fast rush of energy carbs gives me and that they no longer have the hold they had over me! (How is it that I've allowed food to control me for so long?) At any rate, I'm over sugar--even fake sugar--and I feel so powerful. No more cravings, no more crashes! (No…

The positivity in this thread is catching and has prompted me to define my own mini goals. 1) If I make it through the weekend without binging on carbs, I'll allow myself to download the album of my choice. 2) I'm working on relosing some weight I'd regained (boo) and when I get back to that wonderful lowest weight…

Love your story--congrats on your good health!

It's been gradual for me--I've been losing weight for about three years and am just now feeling more freedom. I pray you'll be feeling it soon!

1. Workout 20+ mins 2. Stay under calorie goal and meet protein goal 3. Finish a report that's due today!

I actually look FORWARD to weighing in this week. Bring. It. On. Well, crud, that was a scale victory. Jeesh! Here's the non-scale part: I ran two miles this morning and could have run more.

There are suddenly parts of my body I don't hate...in fact, I am beginning to admire them. Legs, arms, shoulders, collarbone, new muscles popping out when I least expect. It's a nice feeling to not loathe this body for the first time in 22 years!

You're an inspiration! God bless you.

I put on a pair of hot pink cropped pants today that, previous to my most recent weight loss, looked simply gross. I'm looking closer to fabulous today in them!

Like! Congrats on your success. Nerds are cool.

My golf swing's becoming scary good, especially on my irons. Now if only I'd improve my putting. I've also discovered sleeveless golf shirts are amazingly cooler!

This thread inspired me to exercise in spite of the fact that I'd already decided to give myself a day off. Thanks to everyone!

Wonderful!

I'm slowly going through a season change and finding some surprising "new" clothes! I put on my favorite fall dress today - it's a soft jersey knit and is so comfy with a beautiful pattern - and IT DIDN'T FIT at all on top. I had to pin it because I didn't have time to change.
