  • Sounds yummy....Thanks for posting!
  • It seems as though once you get up and do it a few times, you really start feeling better and it almost gets addicting. The key is to keep going, even if only a little bit. I found that time doesn't go very fast while watching TV on the treadmill. I prefer an MP3 player full of great music (with the TV on for something to…
  • Did you do all this before eating or drinking anything? I get similar symptoms if I go too long without something to eat/drink.
  • I just purchased this DVD as well and am interested in what people have to say!
  • Definitely have said "HOLY HELL" a time or two when seeing pics....that's what brought me to this fabulous site! :noway:

  • I'm interested in this as well! Can't wait to hear what people have to say.
  • Well said! My pet peeve is the same as yours! :flowerforyou:
  • I'm actually waiting for two new DVDs to come in the mail (30 Day Shred and Walk off the Pounds). I've heard so many positive things about both that I'm excited to give them a try. Maybe something new will recharge me and get me motivated to workout right after work again!
  • I do try to walk home from work quite a few days (it's dark most mornings so my husband drops me off), but that only ends up being about 15-20 minutes. My lunch break is only a 1/2 hour and that's about the only socializing I get some days, but I may just try walking then too. I just have to set my mind to it! Thanks so…
  • *LIKE* and *LIKE*. I've read books on this topic and strongly believe that depriving yourself of everything will more often lead to failure. For instance....you're having a huge craving for chocolate but you've forbid yourself from it so you go to the kitchen and get something else. When you're not satisfied, you go and…
  • I recently ordered Zumba and while it seems fun, I really feel like I have two left feet. Do the moves get easier? Last week I ordered 30 Day Shred and Walk off the Pounds and am eagerly awaiting their arrival! I do try to walk home from work, and notice when I do I have more energy to do things when I get home. When you…
  • In order to get 8 hours of sleep, I am already going to bed by 8 pm! Getting up early than 4:20 really isn't an option. I will just force myself into it immediately after work and hopefully, after a while of feeling better, I will never have to force myself again!
  • Silly Kristy, I go into work when I do so I can at least have part of a day that's quiet and drama-free. Maybe I should come to work at 2 pm instead?? haha Did you join the gym?
  • It seems when I shut my eyes for a few minutes, I tend to be worn out the rest of the day. I'm better off fighting through the tired I think.
  • Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions. I guess I will just have to kick my butt into gear right when I get home (before the couch or anything else calls to me). You know, after reading all the entries, I knew the answer was JUST DO IT...guess there's part of me always looking for an easy way out. Thanks for keeping…
  • I also tried weight watchers without much success. I would run out of points during the day and still be hungry. I have yet to use all of my calories since starting MFP. I am so full now and still manage to lose weight. I'm not sure what the difference is...but I like MFP much better. I am not feeling deprived and…
  • Same story here as well. I know we can lose the weight and KEEP IT OFF with the support of great people who know what the struggle is like! Feel free to add me....
  • I've been wondering too!
  • The only thing that has really worked for me is to not keep any of my "trigger" foods in the house. Your post sounded like something I would write-I am very much an emotional eater. Weekends are SO hard for me, especially if the weather keeps me indoors. Since joining MFP, I've actually started talking to myself when I'm…
  • I work in an office where every day seems to be doughnut day, cake day, candy day and occasionally even potluck treat day, and people do nag you to eat the crap and it seems even worse once they know you're trying to make lifestyle changes, subconsciously sabotaging you're hard work! Not only does this make you feel…
  • ACDC....gets me going every time!
  • I've been looking for a good fajita recipe....thanks! Sounds delicious!
  • Welcome back. Remember the saying...if at first you don't succeed, try, try again! You can do it! If you need a friend, please feel free to add me.
  • Amazing job! Congratulations. It's always good to hear success is possible. :flowerforyou:
  • I've been a member for about as long as you and can always use new friends. Feel free to add me.
  • Welcome aboard! The support system here is wonderful. Feel free to add me to your friend list.
  • Hopefully tomorrow will bring you hope....hope for a more positive outlook and future. My 19 year old son suffers from depression and has a hard time coping. Luckily we have found a doctor that is determined to find what's best for him. I only hope your doctor's appointment tomorrow will bring you answers. DON'T GIVE…
  • So sorry you had to have an experience like that! You are a reminder of their own struggles more than likely and therefore they feel the urge to sabotage (bring you back to their level)! Quitting smoking is a tremendous life-changer (10 years ago this October for me)....you lose your identity in a sense and have to learn…
  • Welcome...I'm new too, having only been on here a little over a week. Increasing water intake really actually helped me with food cravings. I'm not sure why but it seems I'm not ever terribly hungry due to the water consumption I assume. If you're looking for support along your journey, I sent you a friend request, I'd be…
  • Hi Lexy...your story struck a chord with me as it sounds similar to my own. Over five years ago I started a regular exercise program and eating sensibly and managed to lose quite a bit of weight. I was so motivated and faithful to my goals and I was so proud and swore I'd never get back up there again. Then, I fell in love…
