  • Air popped popcorn with calorie free butter spray and popcorn salt! A lot of salty, crunchy, filling happy snacktime, with very few calories! I'm a nighttime snacker too....satisfies my cravings really well!
  • The 100 calorie packs are kind of expensive, so I made my own. Grabbed my digital kitchen scale and snack sized ziploc bags, and made 100 calorie bags of Baked Lays, jerky, baby carrots, fat free pretzels, cheez-its, almonds, etc. Then I bought a cute little insulated cooler bag and put my snacks in it, and I take it in…
  • I looked a bunch of them up and Rubybelle is right....it varies so much, and they were pretty comparable. But I found one that made me really happy! 1/8th of a 9' diameter strawberry pie was only like 165 calories! YAY!!!! I LOVE fresh strawberry pie!
  • Sounds good! Where can we find the recipe and nutrition info?
  • Found this online....makes sense to me!: **** "Whatever you drink gets mixed in with whatever you eat. The body doesn't really separate out the water from other stuff and count only the "pure" water. After being mixed with food in the stomach, the water/food slurry goes into the intestines, where it passes through the…
  • I looked it up online and this is what the article said: ****Those on calorie restriction diets were found to have the lowest core temperatures, the journal Aging reports. Lead researcher Dr Luigi Fontana said: ‘The people doing calorie restriction had a lower average core body temperature by about 0.2c, which sounds like…
  • I bought some of the 100 calorie packs for a handy, controlled snack. I also bought some ot the snack-sized Ziploc bags and weighed out serving sizes of carrots, or nuts or fruit on my scale, and sealed them in the bags for a grab-n-go snack. That way, when the bag is empty, there isn't the rest of a package to tempt me!
  • Thanks! There were a couple ideas I hadn't thought of.....caffeine may be a factor, except too little instead of too much. I'm kinda "cold turkey-ing" a several decade old Mt.Dew addicition! :-) And the best part of my day was after work when I went outside and did some physical work, so maybe my body is trying to tell me…
  • I'm right at my recommended calories every day and I'm trying to eat little bits all day. So my stomach IS feeling like there is food in it, but at the the same time I am feeling hungry, tense and irritable. I don't know how to describe it..
  • Love the pump bottle Salad Spritzers....only one calorie a pump! And if i feel like something creamy, I put a couple tablespoons of Tzatziki (a greek cucumber/yogurt dip) on a salad. Yummy, lots of flavor, and only 25 cal. per TB.
  • Thanks for the encouragement! I don't remember the last time I thought that I might be able to make a significant , lasting weight change. But I am discovering how warped my idea of healthy diet was, how many "invisible" calories I have been eating without realizing it, and how my horrible habit of eating just once a day…
