  • We're TTC #1 for about 8 months now. These past few months my cycles have been all over the place. No idea is it's due to the intense workouts and weight loss or what. I'm at a healthy BMI now, so hopefully that is working on our side. If there isn't any miracle there by December, it will be time to face the Dr. and see…
  • I've been having a few stressful weeks as well and decided I needed a break. I just have not been able to put my energy into exercising. I am still watching what I eat, but have not worked out in over 2 weeks. I have lost a few lbs actually, which I am guessing is muscle. I'm okay with that. I have set my goal to start…
  • Very interested as well. We live overseas on a military base, so I've been ordering a lot on Amazon which can get pricey.
  • I just started doing this. As I am packing my lunch and snacks for the next day, I put it in my diary. It helps me choose what to bring to keep in line with my calorie and nutrient goals. Dinner I like to plan ahead but that can change depending on if hubby gets home first and starts cooking, but at least I have balanced…
  • I'm down to those last 10 lbs or so, depending on how I feel when I reach my goal. I've been stuck at a plateau the past month, but this past week after bumping up my calories lost 2 lbs! I've been slacking on the exercise though, I hear you on on being busy. Hopefully work will let up soon though and I can start getting…
  • That is pretty much all you can do. I look up similar items on MFP or google recipes to get an idea and than log a similar items. It's not about perfectly tracking, but keeping an eye on what you are eating and having a general idea.
  • My goal weight is about 10 lbs less than my lowest weight. Even at that lowest weight, I felt good, but still a little overweight. So I want to be lower than that. Besides, I like a challenge!
  • I am at that point right now. I'm the lowest weight I've ever seen on a scale (didn't own one in college, so it could've been lower). Since I hit a plateau, I've begun to wonder if I should give up and stay here, maybe this is just where my body is naturally happy. I think I will go try that bathing suit trick though,…
  • Just finished reading "The G.I. Diet" today. I believe it's more about moderation that calorie counting. For me, this seems hard to believe that such a plan could work. Promoting diet soda and processed foods over natural ones? And the whole pasta thing really threw me for a loop too. Can't decide if I want to try it, or…
  • I had these problems with mine and was so upset since it was brand new. Since we are overseas, the website was saying I wasn't covered under warranty. I replaced the battery in the chest strap and all seems good now. Hopefully this continues! Otherwise, they are getting a very angry phone call.
  • I did a 3 day Shakeology cleanse before starting my workout program and the switch to clean eating. It helped me lose 5 lbs and flush out all those toxins in my body. You have to order it though, so I don't know if you would get it for this weekend. If you want more info, feel free to message me!
  • I was just going to post the same question, so glad to see this. A few people critiqued my diary yesterday saying watch the sugar, it'smostly from milk, yogurt and fruit! I didn't understand how natural sugar could be that bad. There's so many conflicting facts out there, it's hard to know what to follow.
  • Thanks for the tips everyone. I just started clean eating this past week. So I've been cutting out white grains, fructose, and processed foods. I really didn't think I've been eating "crap" lately, guess I'll go look again. I've been eating about 1200 "net" calories, and I do drink my water each day, just don't track the…
  • I enjoyed Turbo Fire, which is cardio kickboxing/dance based. Turbo Jam is a bit more dance based. A lot of my friends who do it are previous dancers and have found it really easy to pick up with their past experience.
  • I was really trying to do the 30 in 30 days. I lasted 9 days and then needed a break. Taking the one break day made all the difference. For me, going 6 out of the 7 days works best. 7 days a week is just exhausting. I need my rest day as motivation, other wise I look for excuses to not do my exercise, even if it is just 20…
  • Hello! I'm in Okinawa, which semi-counts as Japan. I understand about the clothing issues here. And buying clothes online in your old size to think they fit and they don't, well that's just depressing (and happened way too many times to me)! Glad to see someone else on this side of the world. Good luck with your goals!
  • I've been slacking in posting here, ooops! Finished week 1 of level 1 strong. Day 8 rolled around and the only way I could motivate myself was by doing level 2, there was no way I could face the same 20 minute workout again. Some parts were easier, a few moves I was lost on. Part of which I think lead to me straining part…
  • Tonight will be day 5. Glad to see I'm not the only one getting bored of the same thing over and over. I finally actually listened to Jillian and started pushing my booty back, and was able to do those anterior raises. Before I could not get my legs to bend that way. That's probably my least favorite exercise, they kill me…
  • Day 2, Level 1 done. Tried doing it in the morning on an empty stomach and had no energy, tried again after dinner and was able to. I wasn't sore all day, but as soon as I started the DVD, I could feel yesterday's workout. I'm really wondering how my body is going to do with 30 days straight, no rest.
  • I started the 30 day shred this morning, so I'm a day late, but would love to join! I had tried to start this last month, but with vacation, didn't keep to the 30 day challenge. This time nothing is stopping me, I need to see these results!
  • Is it the "check transmitter" or whatever message? Mine keeps doing that as well. I was wondering if it's the TV or DVD player interacting with it, since it only seems to be when I have high paced music going (TurboFire, Wii Zumba, etc.). It's really bothering me, because then I stop my workout to fix it. I had pondered…
  • Also wanted to add, I used my HRM and it said i burned 260 calories for level 1. So everyone's estimates of 220-280 seem about right depending how hard you push yourself.
  • I'm a little late in joining you, but I just did day 1. I had no idea how a 20 minute workout could be as bad as everyone was saying. Well Jillian just kicked my butt. I only had 5 lb weights, which I don't think helped either. I had to stop and take a few breaks, but I'm sure even with those I got my intensity for the day…
  • So it looks like it can be done either way. Is it that hard on the knees? Level 1 didn't look so bad. I have been having some soreness in my knees and was hoping to use this as a break from Turbo Fire.
  • I just ordered it this week through Amazon after all the success stories I've read on here. Thought it was the normal price, glad to know I got a bargain!
  • I'm 5'7. Was 167 when I started here, slowly but surely haven't gotten to just under 160. I'm glad to see some "twins". I feel people our height can carry weight so differently. You can either look great and in a shape, a totally slob (aka me), or anywhere in between.
  • I ate at about 7:30 and went to bed at 11, weighed myself 9am this morning. So I'm guessing it was fully digested. It seems from everyone's confirmations it is water retention due to sodium. I just found how to track sodium on my food diary, so I'll start tracking that as well now and see if it helps. Thanks everyone!
  • I can't let anyone see my do my TurboFire workouts. I made my husband re-arrange our rooms, so I have a "workout room" and now I can close the door and do it while he is home. I'm just more comfortable and can push myself harder with no one watching. I think after being overweight for so long, I feel like everyone is…
  • Thanks for the confirmation. I have been, and will continue to push myself. I didn't really understand the idea of not working out as hard as I possibly could(within reason) in order to get results, but those "zones" confused me.
  • I just started the actual schedule of Turbo Fire on the 27th after 2 weeks of prep. I was getting bored with the prep, I didn't feel like I was getting much out of the endless days of stretching. One day of HIIT and I saw what Turbo Fire was all about. Boy am I glad today is rest day! Oh and I ordered a heart rate monitor.…
