Being able to shop nicely at my lower size, after finding more inner confidence at my higher size.

Yes. Usually 5, sometimes more. Same happens if I have more alcohol than normal (while still in my cal goal). I'm a sensitive one w/water weight. Annoying yet comforting in a way (when it goes up & I know why).

@N2 Very pretty. Like your style

Welcome! And thank you for your openness. Your subject line caught my eye, as I'm definitely going through some healing after weight gain (wine was my culprit, too) and it's refreshing to have the direct awareness. Best, Marybeth

@Miss - she likes femininity and sass. Dig it.

Perfectly stated.

I understand this post. I hate seeing "blah blah did 57864 minutes of whatever" and all the feed on my board. I like similar-energied folks, too. However, I get overwhelmed even just by having pals on here, but I wanted to just send this feedback, as I also agree people on here & out in the world can be too pushy w/their…

I too am an evening snacker, my friend. What I do is, ensure I snack during the day (fruit in the morning & afternoon) and *don't buy bad snacks*. Or, like others said, keep healthier snacks around. I find that string cheese is a good one. Low-ish calorie and filling. Find your string cheese. (Sorry, the usage of "my…

From a fellow low energied lady who also has depression - Take your time. Feel things out. Start by lowering your calories, then see what else fits. I find with me, I'll go overboard and then have even less energy to do anything. I don't listen to my body or overall self. My current routine is walking a trail (nature helps…

CONGRATS! You can see a difference everywhere, too! Thanks for sharing w/us and best of luck as you continue!

Awesome you're increasing! Something I learned after doing too little calories, is that it's a great way to lose... but, then I'd just gain it back when I was at my goal weight. So, I know have a little more calories in my day, to ensure that I'll still lose weight but have it more as a habit-forming deal versus weight…

CONGRATS! You look great and it's awesome to celebrate your accomplishment in this way! Also, it's WONDERFUL you are starting this journey at 19. Your body will adjust amazingly and you'll have the tools to continue.

Hear ya. Went over by 700 last night, after a 'cheat day' Saturday. Best to forgive yourself and start again fresh tomorrow.
-
Congrats! I'm at 190 seeking a 'first' goal weight of 140, so your story hit home for me and is inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

What I do is guesstimate my healthier food choices. For instance, I was at a drafthouse the other day and ordered their greek salad w/tofu. So, I found something similar to this in the database. I'll also sometimes track item by item using this system. Not ideal, but even if I'm a little off, beats not logging or going…

What an inspiration! CONGRATS and thanks for sharing!!!

If it helps - I'm looking to lose 60, after gaining 50 really fast. I'm losing slowly but steadily. You can do it, too. Be gentle with yourself and your daughter sounds like an awesome support system!

I agree with the others. I have weight & mental health issues and always have. I recently gained 50lbs because I got into a relationship. I had to see that I need to stop eating and start figuring out my stuff. In the meantime, I have been buying nice clothes for my current size, reminding myself to take things a day at a…

"If you think I'm chugging a twinkie every now and then and not noticing... no." was an amazing retort.

I'm a fan of just plain fruit. Helps w/fiber intake and always filling for me.
-
I agree. You can take it from me, too. I'm 32 now and when I was 23, I lost 50lbs *quick*. But, because I didn't do it steadily, it gained back quick too.
-
Ha. Like this one. When I'm good, I'll just have some tea w/milk to prevent cravings.
-
Agree w/10lbs at a time. Awesome advice and working on this myself.

Agree w/beamer. I personally get overwhelmed when I have friends on here (similar to in person too, ha). So, I skip the forums and share too, when I feel up to it. I also don't feel like I have to "perform" for anyone other than me when I add to my diary or do an exercise. This also prevents me from having to see a million…
