My father was kind of a big man and had some complications due to this. He had his knees replaced and multiple hernias and was out of shape. For some exerciese it will be enough, but for ones that involve your shoulders or back and later on your biceps, it wont be. There are some exerciese like lawn mower and heavy pants that you can need anywhere from 35 to 50 lbs.

I dont know about anybody else, but when I get to walking faster than 3.5 MPH it seems less jarring if i slip into a light jog. I dont know how bad your back is, so im not telling you to jog, but i do know that at speeds of 4mph it is easier to jog than to walk.

Try throwing a picture up on your profile. people sometimes overlook silhouettes because they are impersonal. It doesnt even have to be a picture of you, it could be your dog or a tree or anything but a silhouette. This goes for everyone.

My HRM is like a watch with a chest strap and a sensor that buttons onto the chest strap. Once you set up the watch part (which is like setting any other watch for the most part) you wet the strap, slap it around your chest and button the sensor to it. Then you press a button to start 'recording' and off you go.
