  • Weighting only once a week is a good decision. To be honest I have to stop myself from getting on the scale in the mornings, but when I do it too often I just see my weight go up because of normal week fluctuations... Then I get all sad and when I weight again the right day (Mondays for me), I can actually see I lost some…
  • Hello everyone! I haven't behaved well this week... I've just been too busy, but here any weight lost is a win and I'll take it! Week 0: 56.9 Kg Week 1: 56.7 Kg
  • Hi Kelsey Ann, Elf618 and Charlie! I'm happy that people keep joining the group! Like Michael said: we've done this sort of challenge before and manage to keep the weight off! @Michael: Disney sounds fantastic! Holidays are a great opportunity to take pictures of our(healthier)selves and use them as motivation!
  • It's great! Welcome to the group! :-)
  • This is great Anniebel! Maintenance can be easier than losing weight but I know you'll need support too! And weighting every week will help you keep track. I'm happy you joined the group and it makes me even happier that you're about to reach your goal! AMAZING!
  • Great! We'll try to keep you motivated then! :-) Starting now! How are you changing your life today? Think about what you can do different today so you start a healthier life-style! One step at a time!
  • I think 1200 is really low! I also think most calculators give you quite low numbers. I started with the advise from a fitness magasin: if you weight between 9-10 stones you should eat between 1500-1700 daily calories, 10-11 1700-1900 and so on... It works for me. Actually, when I try to stay too low, I feel extremely…
  • Wow, I totally understand everybody's point of view here! I'm also trying to lose some weight just to be healthier and, well, all the reasons you already know, but I'm just doing it by eating healthier, controlling my portions and exercising... Well, it seems like I can't say anything about it! I've seen people making fun…
  • Hi! My target is 1500-1700 a day. I'm trying to walk 5 days a week and go to the gym twice. IMPORTANT: I'm not eating back my exercise calories! This goal already includes them, just that I eat them through the whole week and not just the same day as I went to the gym. You can also have a lower goal and then you should eat…
  • This sounds great! Guys are just... guys! I mean, I have one of those too... They just look at you like "sure, that's fine honey" and you just want to kill them right there! The same way as they just killed your motivation! 1 mile in 13 minutes it's actually quite good! I'm 5'3 as well and I started running way slower than…
  • Hi! I don't know you, but I'm at 21.4% and my scale obviously puts me outside the "good" range but I think you have to be far from 21% to actually look fit... When I first bought this scale I was at 21% and did not look fit (didn't I? Some times I think I have always considered myself fat somehow...) Let's get those…
  • Hi everyone! I think this is a great idea! So... do I have a twin out there? Age: 28 CW: 61 Kg GW: 53 Kg (and fit! So, still unsure... It might be more, it's a reference since I used to weight even less!) Height: 1.62 m Body fat: 21.4% (this is really what needs to go down!!!) If you like running it's ever better! :-)
  • I have such huge hips as well! You can check/see your bone structure! I mean, if you can see some fat on top of your hip bones then your hip will potentially go down but if your hip bones are already there... Just be happy and enjoy your curves! Thighs... well, I hope mine go downs as well. I think running helps!
  • You look really great! Specially you look a lot healthier! I don't know how much of your results come from exercising and take it from someone who really dislikes going to the gym and all that stuff: it will make you feel great!!!!!! I mean, over a year ago running for a minute was a total success! Now I can actually run…
  • I had this problem for a couple of weeks. After travelling a lot I had very weird eating habits. I was counting these calories and I actually thought this helped me get less hungry during the day! Btw, I was also eating cereal! Anyway, at some point I had to travel again and during the first night I had nothing to eat! I…
  • Incredible! Total success!!!!!! :D
  • Congratulations!!!! This is great!!! Keep running!!!
  • I also want to say that fikas (some sort of dessert + coffee during the afternoon kind of gathering) are extremely popular and everyone looks at you kind of weird if you don't eat a thing so... I just try to eat a very small piece and I'm really happy tasting a good dessert, but then again, I just keep it small. I must add…
  • Hi! In my experience this is perfectly possible! :-) From time to time I go to burger king because my boyfriend loves it (I must say that here in Sweden they are pretty good... We tried them in the US and they were kind of terrible!). Anyway... I just go and order a whopper jr meal, which is kind of small but I do get to…
  • I think you're starving yourself through the day and that won't help you loose weight. On the contrary... you might loose motivation. You should start your day eating a bigger breakfast (maybe add a glass of juice or a piece of fruit) and add another fruit/protein bar/shake during the day. I try to eat a total of 1700 cal…
  • I'm soooo looking forward to reaching the 50's!!! Even if it is 59.9!!!! I'll have to keep working after that but you know, I really agree with you! Looking at the small picture is a great method, and you know, sometimes it's not such a small picture once you look at all the weight you already left behind!
  • I just try to be happy that I'm loosing weight, even if it is 100grams at a time... I mean, it has to be better than gaining weight! Step by step we are getting to our big goals!
  • All those activities count as some form of exercise, the problem is how much you eat! Also it's not like that is super great exercise. For example, before starting my diet I actually tried to walk more places, instead of driving there. Of course that wasn't really "working" for me. Now that I'm actually watching what I…
  • Hi! I'm using dance dance revolution for wii and I believe it's great! It has a built in calorie counter and that's what I use. I really start sweating super fast. I try to burn 600 calories at a time (I don't play every day though...) and I think it's super fun :-) I feel really tired when I finish. Which one are you…
  • Well, maybe you haven't played DDR Hottest party 4! I mean, you have to move your feet a lot on the carpet and it also reads your movements with the remotes on your hands so, it's a pretty great workout!
  • I want to get a HRM... I don't have one right now. I'm just trusting what the game says
  • I agree with Anna. You need to eat enough! And you shouldn't worry about loosing "too much weight" every week. From what I've read, professionals recommend a weight lost of 1-2 pounds each week. I recommend you to use one of the many tools that helps you approximate the amount of calories you should eat every day. That has…
  • Hi! I know exactly what you mean! The tool is quite addictive and you realize how some of the things you ate are really bad and how others are super tasty and very low in calories! That couple of extra pounds every year is exactly why I'm here... The good thing is that you after a couple of months you kind of know how to…
