  • I have not posted in a while. But I have not given in, and have continued to exercise and run and eat healthy. I ran 3.5 miles today. I have achieved a 30 lb weight loss, and am darn near broke from having to buy new clothes:wink: (That is catually a good thing) I am really starting to notice a great deal of difference in…
  • I took a couple of weeks off too. I was on overdrive at work, very busy couple of weeks. The cable company also had to dig up my yard to replace an underground cable, and in doing so cut my phone service in half, killing my DSL and rendering me without a computer for a week. I don't even have cable, I am a DirecTV…
  • Hey everyone. I got out ealy today to beat the heat. I ran my normal 5 k course. My legs felt more stressed today, and I don't know why. Maybe because I ran last evening at around 6:00, and had a quick turn around at 9:00 this morning. I might take tomorrow off to give the ole boys some rest. Good runs everyone. Keep it up.
  • I did my normal 3 miles. I am entering my first 5 k run to be held next week. WOOT. Wish me luck everyone. I dont care about being 1st, but I don't want to be last.
  • Made it out at about 3:00 today. Had to do it i the heat after work as it was my only chance. I ran 3 miles. Near the end of my run, I stepped in a pot hole, and it caused an immediate cramp in my calf muscle, that brought me to my knees. A nice lady driving by thought I was having a stroke or a heart attack and called…
  • Very Well Done. Heres to you.:drinker:
  • I held a 80th Birthday Party for my grandmother, and had about 25 guests at my house. There was so much FOOD. I pigged out and fell off of the wagon. Deviled Eggs are a great weak spot for me. I feel so guilty about the way I ate. It was like I was a different person during the festivities, a sI just kept EATING. Now I am…
  • Made it out about 6 O'clock and ran 3 miles. I checked the scale a little while ago and I am down to 191 lbs. When I started this journey of weight loss, I was 220 Lbs. Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Okay so I did not get out early today as originally planned, and thought I would not get anything done. I managed to cut down a tree in the yard that over grew it's welcome, and did a little house cleaning. My wife will be so proud:laugh: At around 6:00 P.M. I could not stand it any longer and ran my normal 3 mile course.…
  • Today was a day of rest for me. THese old bones need a break every now and then. Hitting the pavement again bright and early though. I do not want to get back into the routine of the "old" me.
  • I just spoke with my Uncle who completed a Ford Ironman Triathlon that was held in Lake Placid, NY on 7-20-08. he finished in 14 hours, which does not seem ll that great, but e is 53 years old. He was shot as a young police officer and as a result of his injuries had his spleen and half of one lung removed. I find it…

For Lunch I had a 6 inch turkey breast Subway Club on wheat with lettuce, sweet peppers, olives, and pickles. Mustard for dressing, a bottle of water, and apple slices. For dinner I am having the…

  • I am new here. I joined MFP about two weeks ago. I have been lurking in these forums but decided I would join in and be a part of this community. I decided to lose weight because to be honest I needed to. I am a police officer, and when I graduated the academy in 1996, I weighed 155 lbs. That was toooo thin, and I do not…

  • I have lost 25 Lbs. I started in May of 2008. I have 15 Lbs to go. The biggest thing to help me along is the running. I was a fast food king because of always being on the go, I have not had fast food in over two months. I have also cut soda out. No soda in nearly 3 months. I intake about 1500 calories a day, and run 3…
  • Even with my upper respiratory thing going on, I ran 3 miles today. Well I shouldnt say I ran the whole 3 miles, but the majority of it. I was feeling much better than the past couple of days and thought what the heck. Now I have to go to work in a couple of hours. Something about second shift that ruins a whole day:mad:…
