  • I was on the depo for about 6 months. In that time I gained like 10 pounds and i was an emotional roller coaster! I know that everyone reacts differently to it... but boy, I have not recommended it to any of my girlfriends!
  • I just bought a Polar F4 and I love it! The only draw back is that it doesn't have a back light. I work out at home, alone, so I didn't upgrade to the F6. The F6 provides "non cross talk" meaning, your sensor, the thing that goes around your chest, under your bust, isn't sending signals to other peoples monitors (wrist…
  • know what you mean, by like the 3rd hour, my head feels like I've just been on a super fast merry go round. I have to eat something quick to get my blood sugars back up. I'm guessing because it's liquid the body burns it off faster than if it were say, a high fiber sandwich that had the same amount of calories in it..
  • Good luck with your goals and welcome to the MFP family! I hope you can achieve everything you set out to do!
  • Yeah, you're supposed to eat those calories too or at least as many of those as you can. If you put yourself into too much of a deficit than what the site already suggests and then exercising, your body could go into starvation mode because you're not giving yourself enough to fuel it. If that happens you won't lose weight…
  • Bananas!!!! Cramps and spasms are a sign of not enough potassium.Either eat bananas or a multi-vitamin. You should be taking a multi-vitamin if you are dieting anyway. That way you're getting enough vitamins and minerals. And drink a lot of water, better to be hydrated than not.
  • Tae Bo, I love it! I do it before the kids get up or in the middle of the day. I love the burn and the sweat. Makes me feel good!

  • The good thing about wagons is that we all have them and we all fall off them. Tomorrow is a new day. Leave regrets and worries in the past. I'm right there with you though. We've been traveling and visiting my hubbys family and of course they want to party. Every food under the sun! I was lucky to get away with a sugar…
  • You should weigh in right after you get up. Before you drink or eat anything and after you take a turn on the toilet, and in the buff. Clothing weights vary so it's best to not have them on to fuss with guessing how much to subtract overall.

  • I do it too... it seems to keep the lion of hunger at bay in my mind thinking I'm actually eating more... it definitely works for me! Eventually we'll all get over that quirk... at least I hope I will.
  • That is totally cool. I've got one of my good best friends signed up and she signed her husband up... trickle effect. As soon as we get back home (i've been on vacation for the last oh four months) I'm going to be promoting it even more to all my friends back home!!! Good job there! Kudos to you!!!
  • Good Luck!!! And welcome!
  • Hello Mandy!! Welcome to the MFP family.. I know what you mean about baby weight. I just had my third and final... and lets just say, the 10 pounds each from the other two plus the 10 from this one, well, they have got to go! I've been extremely happy on here, you will be too. Good luck with your goals!

  • Okay, well I'm glad I got the F4 then... I don't work out at the gym. I only need it for my workouts I do in the livingroom. I'll be swimming in our pool too, so it should come in handy fo that. But it comes with the other features like OwnCal, the zone pointer... things that will do. Maybe when my kids get older and I…

  • Thanks Bob, I guess I hadn't realized the coding error. That does make sense though. Thanks
  • Uh, welcome back... did you go somewhere?
  • Bump Bump!!! And thanks!

  • Yeah, you should eat all those calories (exercise ones). If you don't you could put your body into starvation mode, which would them make it harder to lose weight! Good luck and definitely read those posted discussion.
  • Congratulations!! Wonderful feeling isn't it!!

  • I just bought the F4 on ebay... from a reputible seller. I can't wait to get home and try it out. We're on a road trip right now. Talk about killing your diet and exercise routines! I looked at both the F4 and F6. I am a small person, well going to be, what I meant to say is that I'm short and I've got skinny wrists, so I…

  • I had considered doing that six week body makeover thing they sell on infomercials! I found it crazy that I'd nearly been talked into buying something for over 100 dollars, not knowing if it would actually work for me, etc. So I did a search and found this site! I am totally in love with it as well! SO, welcome to the MFP…

  • When you signed up it would have asked for your current weight and your goal weight, also how much you'd like to lose per week, and how active your lifestyle is. It would have then tabulated that up and set a specific amount of calories you should intake (your net calories) These are the calories you eat in order to lose…

  • I too have the fear of no internet for the next week. We're starting a road trip that will take us across Washington State, we'll make our way down through Utah, and Finally end up back in Arizona. Luckily for me though we have Wireless Broadband through Sprint that I can take anywhere on my laptop! Praise the heavens for…

  • I make myself write everything down that I eat in the food diary on here. Then I have to be accountable for what I'm eating. I can see patterns to what I'm eating. I use it religiously! Something that can help you as well is to just set a goal for a week. Then reward yourself at the end of the week.... Say, your goal is to…
  • I think the biggest progress any of us can make is first in our minds and then in our bodies! To change the reasons of wanting to look "good" to wanting to be the healthiest we can be.... the "good" body follows with that. If we don't start of with the right reasons in the first place it's easy to get discouraged... when…
  • Congratulations! Keep up the good work! It's an awesome feeling isn't it???? :drinker:
  • I can totally relate! But don't let it get you down! I know 100 cal seems like a lot... but if you take a few deep breaths, meditate on the good things that are happening in life... the rest won't seem as bad. As far as the totally unprofessional Lasik people, I'd tell them to go to heck in a hand basket and go find a…
