I guess my point (or question) is is it because I'm a long distance runner/workout junkie that I am able to put my head down and do things I don't like or that may hurt for bit or am I being unreasonable with my husband by telling him to just do it?

I have the same problem with my prenatal vitamins so my doctor suggested taking them at night before I go to bed with a full glass of water, that way I sleep through the stomach ache. Hope this helps.

When I work nights (i'm a nurse too and work 12 hour shifts), I eat "breakfast" before I go. Then pack a snack before "lunch" around midnight or 1am, a snack around 4am then "dinner" when I get home at 6:30am. I try to make my "lunch" and snacks before I go so that I'm not tempted by all the breakroom snacks. Plus I try to…

So it wasn't at my heaviest (actually my lightest!) but it was definitely my most unhealthiest part of my life. Fat knees or not...I'm not going to stop! :) ha ha. While I hate my knees, there are other parts of my body that i like to focus on! And for now that is what I'm going to do.

I guess they are "swedish" knees in my case....I'm at about 21% body fat and I'm pretty sure that 5% is from my knees! ha ha. Goofy.

I really liked the book "The complete book of running for women" by Claire Kowalchik. It has plans to get you started and then it also has 5k, 10k, half and full marathon plans for beginners, intermediates and advnaced runners. Its a easy to read and has tons of info on nutrition, stretching, injury recovery, etc, etc.…

Well I tired to go on a hike, a flat walk around a lake actually, and the majority of the soreness did work itself out but I quit after a mile because there was a pain (tightness, pressure, fullness feeling) in my right calf that would not work itself out. So I guess it is stretching and yoga today! Thanks for all the tips.
