  • Wow Diane, I can't believe that you have had the patience to hang on this long. Good for you! I guess we here in the States will have something to look forward to in the next year (long waits for this type of surgery). Feel free to add me! John

  • go for it!! You know that you want to. If you are at W3D2 of C25k you should be just fine. Walk when you want to, run when you can.
  • You can get them on Amazon if you don't want to got to GNC, about the same price after you add shipping vs. tax.
  • gotta give love to the Quest bars.
  • A could of things that might help. Cook on the weekends and save for the week. Make a couple of meals that can go in your freezer so that you can just pull them out and defrost. Also the crock pot doesn't care when you cook in it. You can put things in there and let run overnight or as you are going out the door in the AM.…

  • I almost completely trained for my very first 5k on a treadmill. When I started running outside I could tell a huge difference. I changed the insoles in my shoes to keep the shin splints from happening and that helped a lot. It took a bit of time, but i got used to the road and it wasn't that bad. Fast forward about 6…
  • Excellent, a great time too. I am still working at it. My goal is to run a 5 sometime before summer. Slow going for me though, just not enough hours in the day.
  • I am really surprised that the Dr. let you eat softies this soon after surgery. It was six weeks before I was allowed anything more than purees. I am glad that happened as it allowed the sleeve to fully heal. I don't think that you have to worry much about eating the wrong thing or over eating. That said, you should make…
  • I'm John, I'm new to the MFP boards. I've been on another board but the drama got to be a bit weird so I bailed out. I was sleeved on 11/20. Have lost 50lbs all post op. Didn't have to do a pre-op diet. Need to lose 50 more to hit goal. Hopefully by summer we will be there. Would love to have some friends here!
  • Stalls happen. I've had a couple as well. You might consider upping your calories about 10-15%. For a week or so. Also lots of water. It really makes a difference. Please send me a friend request if you'd like! Hang in there!
  • Here's something to try. I borrowed this from the board that I was a regular on a while back. I've used it before when I was in a stall. It does work. The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits:…
  • I'm new here as well. I moved from another board due to way too much drama. I was sleeved 11/20. I've lost 50 lbs and need to loose 50 more. It's coming off slowly but I don't mind that. Haven't had any complications or problems. Glad to have found this section in MFP hopefully I can add a couple of fellow sleever friends!
  • I new to the MFP boards, I was on another board but it got a bit stale. Looking for sleever friends. I was sleeved on 11/20. It was the best thing that I could of done.
