  • I'm three years out. I never hit my goal weight. I needed to lose 100, and I lost 60. Since that time I have gained back 25. Its tough and I am disappointed in myself. I never really changed how I ate, just ate less. I still eat too much crap but am working on it. I am devoting a year to get down to goal weight. Someplace…
  • Welcome. It takes time. Remember it isn't a sprint it is a marathon. You can do it but go slow. The app is really good to help you balance your calories. You can plan out your entire day with it and it makes eating a lot easier. Hang in there, you got this!
  • add me, I am almost 3 years post op. Have learned a lot and will help anyone that I can.
  • Hit me up, I'm almost 3 years post. Be glad to share what I have learned.
  • Been there, you can do it. The first few days (weeks) can be tough, but does get easier with time. Add me to your friends list if you want.
  • I just got back on after a small hiatus, I wiped out my entire friends list because they...well...never mind that. So looking for some new folks that are positive, supporting and have a damn sense of humor!
  • Add me!!! I was sleeved 11/20/12. Have been on a bit of a long stall, but am refocused to getting back on MFP and knocking out the rest of the weight. Need some new friends to help with the motivation!!!
  • I was sleeved almost a year ago. The first 60 lbs came off fast, but I haven't lost any weight since the spring. Recently just gained about 5lbs. Its a lot of work, you have to track your intake and your output. It ain't easy that's for sure. I have been backsliding on my logging as well. Just got to refocus. Hang in…
  • I am also a pastry chef, have been for the last 6 years. I make what people buy and don't feel one bit sorry about it. Go to France and Germany or Belgium and there's sweet shops on every corner. Nobody is dying from it. We've lost personal responsibility in this country and we have too many people sitting on their…
  • I bonked on W8D1, and had to repeat it. I did it and W8D2 this past week, suffering from real bad PF so I have to pick the days that I can get that much running done and be able to walk a couple of hours later. I have 5k coming up in July, I really need to get through this damn program even if I have to limp through the…

  • Stalls happen, and are very common. This particular surgery won't take the weight away magically. Your body will do everything possible to keep a hold to all the energy (fat) that it can. The biggest key is to eat your calories, drink every ounce of water that you are supposed to and exercise. You have to get your heart…
  • Can't have enough friends on MFP. Hit me up! sleeved 11/20/12!
  • I find it disappointing that people are not more accepting to those that choose to have WLS, especially on this board. Struggling with obesity is no laughing matter, nor should any attempt to break those chains be looked at with scorn. To the OP that said it was cheating because they were working their azz off. I’m in the…
  • Day 2 was pretty easy. It is basically 2 ten minute run blocks with a walk break in between. I've been stuck there for a few days now. Day 3 is 25 minutes of running without a break, and I can't seem to get it done. You'll be fine.
  • I have plantar facitius in one foot, and find that I can run fairly well on the treadmill. I used to run a lot before my weight ballooned and I ran on both the pavement and the treadmill, but slowly transitioned to the pavement as my weight went down. I will do that again, as soon as my foot is less painful.
  • Can't get past Week 6 day 3. I'm not able to do the 25 minutes straight. I can do two 10 minute's with a walk break in between (Week 6 Day 2), but cant get to the 25 minute make. Any tips on how to break through?
  • Welcome...feel free to add me as a friend!!! Sleeved 11/20
  • My daughter started at 7 and today she's 13 and has competed at the National Jr. Olympics twice.
  • Just finished W5 D2 today. Big difference between D1 and D2. Got through it okay, but PF is really hurting this afternoon. After week 6 I'm going to look at the schedule for 5ks in our area. Trying to get my kids to run one with me. Well not with me, they both would be waiting for me to finish. LOL
  • I drink regular iced tea and have since surgery. I talked about it with my Dr. and pretty much told him that it would be a deal breaker if I had to give up the caffeine. He backed off. Now tea isn't as caffeinated as coffee, but it is still there. I don't have any problems with it, and I do drink a lot of water as well.

  • I use Total C25K for Windows Phone 8
  • +1 on the green tea, you can add things like dried fruit or dried ginger to it when you are steeping it. Really good stuff. No real need to sweeten it. unless you want to. Honey or agave works good.
  • A couple of things to keep in mind. Everybody is different, everybody loses weight at different rate. Do not weigh yourself every day, do not compare yourself to others. You will drive yourself batty if you do. Build a good support team. Know your nutritionist well. Mine has access to my MFP account and leaves notes for…
  • Typically it is just gas/acid. A ppi for the first 3 months or so post-op usually takes care of it. I was on nexium for about 3 months and never had a problem. There are OTC PPIs as well if you can't get the prescription.
  • Yep it makes a big difference. Welcome too!
  • True I've never walked a mile in someone elses shoes...
  • Here's a few that always make it back to my playlist AC/DC - Thunderstruck (live) Metallica - Enter Sandman (live) ZZ Top - LaGrange (live) My daughter put a couple on my playlist that I like Flo Rida - Good Feeling The Script - Hall of Fame
  • Excellent job. I just finished W3D2, and can't wait to run my first 5k. Been about 7 years since I ran. Good luck.
