Same problem for several days.

Hi! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. My goal is 30 miles this month. 1 Mile a day. It’s probably going to be the treadmill today, but that’s ok, I’m lucky I have one (staying with an attitude of gratitude).

It’s been a long, long time since I’ve posted here. This months goals are to drink 80 oz of water and log everything I eat and to check I here everyday.
-
I’m also 48 and probably about 168.

I’m in! I’ll probably try for about 17 pounds since October is more than half over. I’ll have to post my starting weight tomorrow. I need some motivation and inspiration. And I really need some active friends on here. It seems Luke so many have fizzled out (well, including me). So, if you’re looking for more friends,…

Yes, this is for a snack for them to eat in the classroom. I think ideally, the teachers want it to be not messy, but I guess I just need to do what works best for us at this time.

I’m sorry, I see i didn’t make that clear. It’s not for lunch. It’s for their snack in the classroom before lunch. They start at 7;30 and don’t have lunch until 12:45 so they need a snack in between.

I don’t think 1200 to 1300 is too low for 5’3” if you are not exercising. You might need to add more if you are exercising. I’m also 5’3 and mine is set for 1200. Every calorie allotment recommended for me has been around that much. I do have some foods I cannot eat - like ice cream. It does not work for me to try to have…

We are in the U.S. - very far south where it is often very hot and humid with mild winters. Subtropical.

I’m just starting this challenge today so I’m going to just say that I’ll run 5 miles for the rest of November.

Yes, that is partially true. I want him to exercise more than he wants to exercise. There are health reasons for this not vanity. But he also is exercising. He’s just choosing to wear khaki shorts when he does it. He is also having trouble with the heat in general - even to work on his boat which he loves to do - he is not…

Dehydration could be an issue. However, I really do try to stay on top of that. I live in a hot climate and take that seriously. But I can feel my neck and shoulders start to tighten up as my run starts to get a little harder. I did do my neck and shoulder anti-tension headache exercises immediately after my last run and I…

Yes, and I have one I think I'll like. Now, I'm just having trouble getting watch to sync. I just thought it would come with a few basic preloaded watchface options. Whe I went to the store, and do all of those options I was a little leery that I was doing the right thing. Thank you for your help!!

I'm going to try the Runners World Memorial Day to 4th of July - 36 Day Running Streak. I'm only commiting myself to one mile every day because I don't know what kind of injury daily running might set me up for so I'm going to take it slow and easy. Consistency is my issue to be worked on anyway. I usually walk in addition…

Well, I think it's between the garmin forerunner 230 or 235 or maybe even the 25 or the Garmin Vivoactive HR. Honestly, I think any of them would be fine and better than what I had. I just need to read up on them a little more. I also need to take a look at the Polars recommended above. So, I guess I'm at a starting point,…

Just in case anyone is still reading this discussion, I definitely want something with a chest strap. My mind won't be satisfied that the heart rate information is accurate otherwise.

I had something called a Mio. I just picked it up in Academy one day. I might have had it about 4 years. It was pretty cheap at the time, but it seemed to do its job fine.
-
It would be for running. Thank you first the replies!

Thank you! I'm thinking that's what I'm going to do. The least complicated the appliance or tool, the more likely I'll use it. I think I've used my food processor once in 10 years.

I've been running off and on just about my whole life. Even when I was in my 20s I had to respect my limitations. Start slow. Increase your mileage, impact whatever by no more than 10 percent per week. You may even want to go lower than that. I certainly have. If you're hurting or you feel an injury coming on, rest for a…

I'm doing horribly with my LNS. I just don't understand why I do it. I generally stay within my calories during the day and then blow it at night. I'll eat 500 to 1,000 calories. I'm not hungry. I am not even eating food that's particularly good. Lately, I've been getting into my husband's frosted mini wheats. We've been…

Well, I'm doing the Runners World holiday streak. I'm not sure how that's going to work out so I'm not going to push myself with mileage. I'll be working on consistency this month. So, I'm going to go with 42 miles.

Me 2 LNS 1 Streak 0 I broke down last night and snacked. I went to bed really early and told myself I would wake up at midnight to get some much needed housework done. Well, that didn't work out. I tried to get up and told myself I needed the food and snacks to get me motivated and help wake me up. So, I snacked and said,…

This is so me!! Thank you all for the excellent suggestions. I'm going to try to set weekly goals starting today with logging everything. I will get a little reward if I stay under my total calories for the week.

I've been on here since 2011. Few of my original friends are still here. I definitely need a replenishment of friends. So please add me!!
