Portable snacks for kids

Does anyone have any snack ideas for my kids to take to school in their backpacks? I was sending them with popcorn or goldfish, but I keep binging on them at night. I need to not have these in the house anymore. Cheezits, graham crackers, and animal crackers are definitely not doable either. Bananas squish too easily. I guess I could do cold items in the lunchbox, but I was trying to avoid that.

In this like a classroom snack? Grapes, raisins, dried fruit, apple or fruit sauce pouches, fruit leather, cereal bars.

Ill second the apple sauce pouches. My kids love baby carrots and cucumbers. Single serve Cheerios work. The Quaker granola bars.

What about things like tuna salad kits? Turkey/cheese lunchables? Or dried fruit? Dried mango and pineapple are very sweet. It's almost like a fruit roll up or fruit snacks. Or, freeze a go-gurt and send it. It'll keep cool all afternoon as it melts.

Fruit. Put fruit that bruise or get squished easily into a container.

I’m sorry, I see i didn’t make that clear. It’s not for lunch. It’s for their snack in the classroom before lunch. They start at 7;30 and don’t have lunch until 12:45 so they need a snack in between.

Yes, this is for a snack for them to eat in the classroom. I think ideally, the teachers want it to be not messy, but I guess I just need to do what works best for us at this time.
