Welcome to MFP! You'll love it here. I'm a mom to a 19 month old, and a husband who puts in 50+ hours a week. One suggestion for you and your family is to plan out all of your meals for a week, cook them all on Sat/Sunday and then re-heat them during the week. I'm a teacher, so I can relate about working and going back…

Congrats!! I'm so happy for you!

wow, that's an amazing story!! Thank you so so much for sharing!
-
oh congratulations!! Being pregnant is the best time!

I really detest: avocados (they're waxy.. yuck!), beets, bleu cheese, and the consistency of jello. I'm eating jello though, but I don't like the texture

Count me in. I really need to be held accountable. :) CW (2 June) 238

I'd like to join in too. I'm 27, mommy to 1 great little girl, and wife to an awesome man. :) When I started MFP I weighed 263. My current weight is 238. My goal is to be 200 (or under) by Sept 1st. Then I'd like to see where I go from there by Christmas. My ultimate goal is to be 175 or less by Feb 1st, 2010 - my 28th…

you can add me too. :)

I'm a late joiner, but I'd like to. Here's my goals: I'm currently 238. I'd like to see 229. :) Log into MFP every day. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day.
-
I also weigh after cooking for burgers and such. That's what I was instructed to do at a Weight Watchers meeting once.
-
done. :) Good luck!

Hi! Welcome here! Everyone seems to be super nice and friendly. I'm Jenn, feel free to add me as a friend. I need to lose about 100 or so pounds, so I'm in a similar category to you. Don't think of it as a diet - it's a lifestyle change. :)

I stayed the same today. The only time I can get to a scale on Fridays is around 8 AM, when I'm on my break at work, and it read as the same. I'll update my weight on Weds. What I've been doing is making sure to log everything - and drinking tons of water
-
congratulations! I'm really happy for you.

That is one amazing story. I'm crying just reading it!!! I'm so so happy for you and very proud. Hope I can be there one day soon too.

I gained about 70 pounds with my daughter who is now 16 months old. In my own defense, she was 10 pounds 2 oz at birth, and I had her naturally. Because she was so big, my milk didn't come in fast enough to fill her, and she went straight on the bottle. I never breastfed. That being said, I lost about 40 pounds within 2…

Congrats! I'm proud of you!

Hiya new friend!
-
I have the Droid and I have the MFP app for that - and it works like a charm. I'd also log everything for the next day at night. I feel way more accountable that way.

I chose one at the higher end of the healthy BMI range for me. I figure if I can hit that, and I still feel that I need to lose a bit more, I can go 10 or so pounds lower. I'll see where I am when I'm 10 or so pounds away from the "goal".

Hi Michelle! I second what another poster said - don't think of it as a diet, think of it as a lifestyle change. And it is really possible to lose the weight, I lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks. I'm in week 5 now, and really hope to continue on this journey.

I'd like to join too please! I'm Jennifer, 27, and mother of an almost 16 month old daughter. I haven't been posting my food here for a few weeks, but I have it all written down in my food journal, so I'll be adding it slowly onto here, and posting from here on out my food. I started seriously trying to get rid of weight…

Hi! I'm pretty new here too. I'm really proud of you for making this change. It does seem to get easier bit by bit. I'd suggest making one small change for a week, then adding to that change. :) Feel free to add me as a friend! I'm rooting for you! Jenn
-
wow - you really have changed! You look fantastic.
-
you look absolutely amazing. :) I just lost my first 11 or so pounds and I'm so excited to see an after picture. You look great. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
-
oh congratulations! :) I'm so excited for you! :)

Hi! I'm new here, but I'd like to join in too. I'm a teacher and I wear a pedomiter all the time. In Sept I was only walking about 4K steps around the classroom, andnow just in school I'm walking on average about 7K. And then I wear it at home

Congratulations! I'm so very happy for you. :) I just joined here today and your success is a real inspiration! :)
