I would definitely say to you to take a picture of yourself at the beginning. I never did and I've regretted it. Just think of the motivation to keep going it will give you further down the line. Good luck ;-)

I upped mine last week after several people advised me that it would help break my plateau. I was up when I weighed this morning so I'm a little nervous but I'm willing to weight a while to see what happens. :-/

Thanks to everyone for some great advice and for your words of encouragement. I am very proud of the weight I've lost and when I look back at photo's it's difficult to believe it's the same person. And like I said I know I wont go back to being that person. My goal weight is based on my lean body mass and there's a…

I'm exactly the same. Sometimes I think I just have a coffee as a mater of habit. :-)

I've just done day 5 of week 1 of the 30 day shred this morning and I can safely say I know I've done a workout afterwards. I think it's a good way to get some variation in my exercise and it's only 20 minutes so, for me, its ideal to do in the mornings.

Excellent article. I makes my 6 month plateau make so much more sense. Thanks for posting

I was exactly where you are now when I found this site. Feel free to add me if you want.

I have always weighed once a week. But this week I've weighed every morning. I must admit I think I'm gonna keep weighing every day. I'm so close to a goal that I'd love to see me crack it. Even if it is only for one day. :-)

Mine's Rolyprince. When I was at my biggest I was cast as Prince Charming in a show!!! I argued that a 'round' Prince Charming isn't normally what gets Cinderella swooning, but they insisted. This helped convince me that I needed to make a strong lifestyle change. And that's when I joined MFP. I must admit I'm not so…

I'll be interesting to see how this is different to the forum posts as well. I suppose it'll save me time having to search for the old Team UK thread!! I'm more than happy to join in. :-)

I'm in Northamptonshire. Feel free to add me, if you still have room on your friends list. :-)

Gutted this morning. I got everything ready this to cycle into work. got myself all geared up. Made sure I had hydrated, I had a small protein breakfast. I stepped out to the shed to get my bike. Got out the front of the house and the heavens opened. And not just a 'this will clear up in a minute' rain. So I decided to…

Count me in as well. If that's OK. I'm away in a couple of weeks so I would miss a couple of the early weigh ins but anything that helps me along on this journey I'm up for.

Morning Everyone. I got my backside out of bed this morning again and went for a run. And boy do I feel better for doing it. I never thought I would miss exercising!! What's wrong with me? I even dusted the bike off last night and I'm gonna attempt to cycle into work tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on. :ohwell: It's…

Morning Everyone, I've had quite a good morning so far. First time in a couple of weeks I've managed to get by backside out of bed and go for a run before work. It felt really good to get out there again. Legs are feeling it now though. But it's worth it for that little buzz you get when you've exercised.

I've just found this thread this morning and I'd like to join in as well if I can. I've been at this for about 18 months now and I have lost 6 stone so far. But in the last 3 months my weight hasn't moved which has left me a little de-motivated. I'd like to lose another 20lbs and any help I can get from like minded…

What a great list!! So true. Number 4 for me rings true. This weekend I relented and had fried chicken & fries and afterwards I felt so bloated. My stomach just felt rubbish. And I thought 'Blimey I used to eat this stuff all the time.' I just didn't notice how bad it was for my body. Do now though. I'm gonna keep this…

Count me in on the challenge too. I've lost 54lbs so far. I've just got up the confidence to join my local Gym yesterday. I'm starting to feel like I'm not out of place there!!! Hopefully it's gonna help both me and this group reach our challenge target. Fingers crossed.
