  • Thanks everyone for so much information!! It’s all really helpful for me. I am certainly eating more than I am used to... I’m 175cm and weigh (as of this morning) 74kg. I’d like to be under 70kg. I have a largely sedentary job but workout five times a week and also walk our dog. I could probably step up the cardio/HIIT a…
  • Haha....soooo many lucky ladies!! Don't wish your assets away!! I'm a 32A and painfully embarrased by it! Was even told in John Lewis they 'might have some training bras that would be more suitable' :blushing: I would love to be a 32C - I think this would be proportionate to my frame. I don't want a huge chest,…
  • As everyone above... exercise bands, or chair assist - depending on your level. To be honest, I don't know that I will ever be great at pull-ups (I think I can manage like 2.5 now...you might laugh - but it's a huge improvement from just hanging there shaking!!) but it really doesn't matter at all - you get an amazing…
  • I think it's just as hard as as cruel to pass judgement on what is "too skinny" as it is on what is "too fat" - everyone is conscious about their bodies no matter their shape or size and so it's not really fair to pass judgement.... Having said that - the temptation to comment is irrisistable  ...personally, I think…
  • Awww.....it makes me feel a bit sad. I love it though!! So true.... except the 'I choose not to bite your hand' I guess this does not apply to my cheeky bundle of mischief? (I have the bite marks and ripped skin on my knuckles to prove it! haha) Thanks for sharing!!
  • Mmm, going to be trying this at the weekend!! Thanks for posting!
  • I have completed one round of P90X and absolutely loved it!! The results were amazing...okay, I was not massivley lighter on the scales but LOOKED much better - more toned, stronger and leaner. It does take a lot of commitment (not to mention a big chunk out of your day!) but it's SO worth it!! I'm currently on Day 44 of…
  • I try to comment on as many "calories burnt," "weight lost" and "days logged in" updates as possible - to me, that means that person is committed to making a positive change to themselves. It doesn't matter to me if they burnt '100 calories cleaning' or '10,000 calories mountaineering' - they have got off their butts and…
  • I love how everyone talks about their cats....I can so relate!! I wanted to click 'quote' on virtually every post!! I have two little furry angels - Mr Glover and Marvin James. They were both rescue cats, we adopted them from the RSPCA when they were both 3 and they're now 5 and a half. Mr Glover is named so…
  • ^^ Another vote for myprotein.com - there is something there for everyone!! I was always a Maxitone Sculptress girl - but now they've changed the forumla I am not a fan anymore - it's now too sweet and more a "meal replacement" than a "protein drink" (too many carbs!!) Now using MP Max Elle True Diet Protein shake and it's…
  • Currently doing Insanity - so 6 days a week for that (x5 intense workouts and x1 recovery workout) I also top up with hiking, mountain biking etc at the weekends. Usually when I'm not doing Insanity, I'll do 5 "proper/hard" workouts a week and then several additional "fun" workouts.
  • ^^ This is a great idea - it helped me to put things into perspective too! I have NEVER lost anything more than 3lbs in a week - and usually less than 1lb a week... like lots of others - I regulary have those frustrating weeks of working hard and eating clean, but having a 'zero' loss - but just remember that the slower it…
  • Mmm, yum that sounds great! (Even if I will end up eating much more than the "suggested portion" - it doesn't matter because it's so saintly!!)
  • Great post...
  • Mmmm, I like the sound of this! Thanks for the recommendation!
  • That's amazing! What a great motivation gift - and a really lovely husband!! Lucky you!!! (Will be showing this post to my boyfriend tonight with my wish-list attached!) ...You don't need make-up though, you're so beautiful!!!!!
  • I am on day 14 of Insanity today (a much needed rest....yahoooo!) - Obviously as it's still early days, I can't comment too much on results, but it really is an amazing butt-kicking workout!! Personally, I preferred P90X for all round toning/tightening/feel-good workout - but Insanity is certainly a challenge and I…
  • ^^^ Totally agree with this!! "Acceptable" is a horrible word!! If you have the confidence to flaunt your hard earned body, go for it!! We can't all look like Jessica-Alba even if we work our butts off to get there... I wore a bikini for the first time last October and felt GREAT! Yes, there were people on the…
  • ....Sorry to gatecrash when I have nothing of value to add - but just interested to read how you all get on. (And yes, I know I could write 'bump' but that's just not me...!) After I am done with Insanity, I might give this a whirl!! Good luck!
  • WOW!! Amazing job, you look super sexy!! Well done to you! And thanks....I am on day 13 of Insanity today, so it's made me more determind to 'Dig Deeper!!'
  • Or any maths at all for that matter... why would they have invented calculators otherwise....
  • Awww....bless you - mine is similar, I'm glad I'm not the only wuss... If I'm home alone, I have to draw all the curtains while it is still light - I can't look out the windows when it's dark in-case someone is looking back at me...
  • Surely it's good that you got a nice surprise by how much you were burning...I bet you'd been under-estimating? Also, isn't one of the selling points of Insanity "Burn 1000 calories an hour" ...so your burn isn't too far out from that? I'm at work (and have spent far too much time on here today already) so can't be…
  • Try on something you haven't worn in a long time... I remember getting some little shorts out to take on holiday in September. The previous year I had worn them and they were form fitting - I felt okay (when I was standing) and a little uncomfortable when I sat down. Luckily I tried them on before I packed, as they…
  • WOW! What a superstar...you are gorgeous!!
  • I have completed one round of P90X and absolutely loved the results... I felt strong, toned and healthy. I could lift double the weight I could to begin with and could genuinley see the progress I was making week by week. I didn't lose much weight (around 2/3kgs) but looked much better!! On the downside, you need a lot of…
  • Agree with the above... I wouldn't log my weekly shop, or popping into town for a couple of hours browsing around. However, we spent 12 hours Sale shopping the other day. Must have walked for absolute miles and was carrying the HUGEST amount of bags around with me too (which were really heavy!!) - so I most certainly…
  • I mirror this opinion totally! I think it's a little creepy and odd if someone wants to have their whole relationship "online" - but it seems like a great way to meet other people with the same interests etc. I did not meet my partner online, we met during part-time jobs while we were studying, but as someone who doesn't…
  • # It really scares me the amount of women who's feet grow and never shrink again during pregnancy... My boss also gained a shoe size when she had her boys....think I will have to adopt or I'll be in men's shoes!! :noway:
  • Haha...I wish this was true! I used to work at Starbucks when I was at University and suffered years of having my lattes with Soy milk (which I hate! Bleugh!) because someone told me this... Still looked like a pre-teen in the boob-department.
