  • I'm in week 7. It is rough! I'm doing the diet plan and doing all the workouts in the plan. This is my first time doing a Beachbody program and I'm glad I went with the one that doesn't use equipment. I'm now convinced that I can torture myself just fine using only my own body :p
  • I have done Tae Kwon Do (red belt), Isshinryu (3rd degree), and currently MMA (1st degree). I've also trained in some weapons and competed for many years in my younger days :) Looking forward to being a part of this group!
  • The Up is going to have a heart rate monitor. It will count calories burned, steps taken, etc.
  • Yeah - FitBit seems to be a similar product. But the UP looks like a much more advanced version with some awesome tracking tools.
  • They still haven't been released and there is no update (that I can find) on when they are coming. I want one SO BADLY! My sleep is awful and I've been trying to find a real way to track it and this device sounds way too awesome to pass up. If anyone has any updates on when it's coming, please let me know! I signed up at…
  • I enter how many minutes I spent at each speed. When I do intervals, I do 2 min of 3mph, then 30 seconds of 8pmh. If I do that 6 times, I log 12 min at 3pm and 3 min at 8mph. I find that the treadmill grossly overestimates my calories burned.
  • They say that you need to use banana each time in order to get the consistency right, but I actually really like just using other fruits. My favorite is peaches. They blend up really nicely and make a creamy treat. They go well with strawberries. Blueberries give a fun color, but don't add much flavor. Since they are…
  • Anone else want to join in?
  • Woo hoo! Welcome to everyone! I also don't drink juice anymore. I decided not to drink my calories because I just didn't have enough to go around. My one exception is the rare chocolate milkshake. However, I am going to give up my diet coke habit for this Insanity program and that is going to be "fun". I'm giving this…
  • Awesome! Glad to have some new friends on board. We're going to help each other stay on track!!! Anyone else who wants to join, just post here. Feel free to send friend requests to anyone, too.
  • I really like Runphones. (runphones.com). They are built into a headband and they don't ever hurt my ears like some ear buds do. And they play double-duty by keeping the sweat out of my face.
  • It's true. Sometimes our bodies just need something different to get us going. Changing things up can be a relief to our bodies and our minds.
  • I'm glad to hear that anyone can make this treat fairly easily. I am a horrible cook - I seriously messed up Place and Bake Cookies - so I thought this thing might help me out a little. Sounds like it was an unnecessary purchase. Ah well. It's kind of fun to make mush with it  So, any good recipes out there? What…

  • I like to eat mini chocolate chips. I can eat them one at a time so it feels like I get to eat more of them.
  • I read a post on here that was really great about explaining why we hit plateaus and why some of us (me included!) take forever to start losing weight. I wish I could find it and link to it but I can't seem to locate it right now. To summarize: don't worry if you aren't losing weight for 4-6 weeks. Depressing, right? Our…
  • 5'2" here. Feel free to add me. 143 lbs now. Goal weight is 127.
  • Everything I've heard says 3 times a week. Running is one of those things that I think is very different from one individual to the next. Some of us may never be runners (me!!) but we try. I'm working up to running 2 minutes at a time. And some people can just run forever. Listen to your body. Give it a couple days after a…
  • Hi Mark, Welcome. I love the cell phone app too, but I really like the community online so I find logging in to be very helpful. I think the most helpful thing is that this program makes me pay attention to what I eat. I am amazed at how wrong I was about some of the foods I was choosing. Example: The other day I went with…

  • These are all so wonderful! Thank you everyone. I have a great shopping list planned. But now I need to be careful and try all these great things one at a time - LOL! Please feel free to continue to post if you have more ideas to share.
  • I haven't. I will have to try the chocolate version out!
  • mmmmm.....coooookiiieeessss...but I digress... Protein shakes seem like something I need to look into. I tried them for a while but wanted to get back to eating real food. But if I can have one now and then and help my sweet craving, they're likely going to be worth it. Thanks for the suggestion!
  • I have never heard of those. They sound AWESOME!!! I'll have to look for them...
  • I like milk and I already drink skim, so that's good. But my sweet tooth kicks in here too - I find chocolate milk almost irresistible. And I'm not talking about a little hershey's syrup stirred in...I'm talking about the creamy, pre-made, full of calories stuff. Uh oh, I think I just drooled a little :p
  • Will do! Red Velvet Cake and Strawberry Shortcake sound really good.
  • REALLY??? I know where I'm going tomorrow. I didn't realize the really good stuff came in sugar free. I hope the calories are low enough to indulge a little. Thanks!
  • Sounds awesome! I love strawberries!!! They're supposed to be good for fiber too :) What serving size do you eat and how many calories is it?
  • Are those really any good? Do they actually taste like what they claim? If they do, then I'd be willing to give them a try! My issue that yogurt never seems to help me feel less hungry.
  • Greek yogurt tastes kind of funny to me. However, I really like it with granola in it, but that defeats the whole purpose. Granola has way too many calories and a lot of fat.
  • I started out with a sore throat and an earache that turned into a headache that last 4 months. It was awful! 3 rounds of steroids later and nothing was working. After finally seeing a neurologist, I got a medication that worked after almost 3 weeks of being on it. But I was basically a couch potato for 4 months. It…
  • I like karate class. Lots of great people and you get to kick and punch things. It never feels like a workout to me.
