How's it going everyone!? Just started visiting the site so I still consider myself a newbie. I've been using the app for about a month and a half and have been seeing some success. What about you guys? Shoot me some goodies, let me know how it's working for you.

    Hi Mark,
Welcome. I love the cell phone app too, but I really like the community online so I find logging in to be very helpful. I think the most helpful thing is that this program makes me pay attention to what I eat. I am amazed at how wrong I was about some of the foods I was choosing.

    Example:
The other day I went with my family to one of our favorite restaurants, Red Robin. I was prepared to order my usual, the Whiskey River BBQ Chicken Wrap. I had switched to the wrap after having eaten the Whiskey River Burger for some time, thinking the wrap was much healthier. Boy was I wrong! The wrap has more calories than the burger!!! And both would take up all my allowable calories for the entire day.

My newest trick is pre-purchasing movie candy. I love to snarf on Junior Mints at the theater, but they come in that huge box and I have never stopped part way through a box. So, I bought a big box at the grocery store and put 1 serving size (17 pieces) into plastic baggies. Now when I go to the movies, I take a pre-made snack bag. I save a ton of calories, not to mention a ton of cash!

Oh, why did you have to mention Red Robin!? YUUMMM! I hear you though, it's such an eye opener on how I have been abusing my body with the way I used to eat. And the great thing about the app is, I honestly dont feel like I'm "counting" calories. I love how you can just search Red Robin and your entree and there goes all the info. HIt add and you're done! Doesn't feel like a diet at all, it's more of the proverbial lifestyle change for sure.
